Hello,

My friend gave me a WoW account with 120 days play time and 3 levels 80's and I really don't know what to do as I haven't played WoW before. everyone I duel I always lose and they call me noob but it is my first day playing wow


Can someone give me tips and things I should do to learn how to play the game?

I'm a 80 mage?
 
Make a new char and start from Lv1, you need to learn the game, you can't just jump in at Lv80 and expect to know how to play :p
 
Start a new char and learn to play the class and the game, If you really wanna just take one of the chars on there and play then be prepared to be called a lot and also be accused of RMTing/eBaying the account. Even in the likes of groups and dungeons a well geared char not playing properly is easy to tell.

What kind of mage? Gear? Spec?
Have a look over at sites such as elitistjerks and mage specific forums for info on builds and such.

Name and Server?
 
There's loads to learn, you can only do this by levelling a character on your own. This means atm these 3 lvl 80s are pretty much useless to you until you know how to control them

Frost Mage

I've fought a lot of people and they go around me so I can't cast a spell on them or they go invisible.. Maybe mages is a really bad class?

I keep pressing 1 (Frost bolt) and I barely hit anything

Frost shield, ice Nova, deep freeze, frost bolt spam = dead target :D


But yeah id consider levleing a character from 1-80 yourself so you get used to the game and how everything works.

And i would refrain from telling many people your "friend" gave you his account or you'll be banned :(

(Also if you traded/bought the account id be very carefull when adding expansions etc incase they take the account back off you.)

Seems to have some half decent gear, many changes recently tho.

If this is you...
You've not used yer skill points.
No skillpoints = no skills = no dps

So many many things that contribute to actually playing, If you joined a HC on my realm with that gear and were perma spamming low lvl spells you'd be kicked within the first few mobs tbh.

Have a bash about the game, maybe try a few classes, find out which ya wanna play and then come cata maybe try that class with one of the new races?

Or read up on teh lvl80 you want to play, class,spec,rotation,gems,echants.
Upto you, play from new and learn the class or dont play read up plenty and attempt to play the class.

even with max res he's gonna struggle if hes chucking around lvl1 fireballs :p

Also he has no resilience which is why he'll be getting pwned in PvP.

I don't think it would help him if he had 2000 resilience in all fairness.
 
Spec arcane, re bind all keys on the keyboard to Arcane Blast and then roll your face across the keyboard repeatedly :p
