Yea...I have to say, if they would show 6870 OC results, they should show GTX470 OC results as well, as these two cards are practically rival in the same price range.Wonder why theres no GTX470 OC results...

It really should had been "HD 6870 & HD 6850 vs. GTX470 & GTX 460 1GB: An Overclocking Study"
I'm pretty sure it is the other way round...average GTX470 is around £185, and comes with a Mafia II download voucher; average 6870 is around £195 and with no game, and is on pre-order at most places. The 6870 I see "in stock" are at £200+.The 6870s are cheaper than the 470s.
My advise to you is..."don't buy today"I play most of those games. How would you pick a card out of that lot? Hardly consistent for any card. I am looking for buy a £200 today. No idea now![]()

Are you talking about big etailers with good reputation, or just quoting the lowest price from random small shops found on google? You are wrong. There are 6870 in stock for £170 delivered. There are even some more for £180-£185.
Cheapest 470 I can find it is for £180.

Yea I think I found the card you are refering to...but with random brand of that etailer's choice, and only 1 year warranty, that automatically make the card value at at least £15 less...With good reputation.
How about linking to the site that did the review.
Why is that ?
Do you mean to o'c the card ?
Yea? Plenty of people with GTX470 on a stock cooler has no problem keep the temp in the 70~80C in actual gaming environment, and if anyone are really not happy with those temp or the noise level of the stock cooler, they could always pick up a MSI GeForce GTX 470 Twin Frozr II for around £205, wish is not really much more expensive than some 6870 and the cooler would be better than 6870's stock cooler, plus there's still the Mafia II download voucher which would worth at least £10. Also, while the 6870 doesn't run too hot, and would be quieter than the GTX470 stock cooler, the 6870's stock cooler is not exactly totally quiet neither. The price of a 470 surely has to include the extra price of an aftermarket cooler though to be a fair comparison
