ati 5870 vs nvidia 470?

Save up another £50 ish, and wait for 6950/GTX570, which should be out within this two weeks and hopefully be launch at around £250~. They would most like be quite a bit better than both the 5870 and GTX470 for just little more...

I think a lot of us are in the same boat m8. Waiting is hard!!!. Was going for a 6950, BUT now a GTX570 is here for £270-£300. That just might sway me. Been a while since i tried Nvidea, and prefer to go 2 x 6 pin.
Only another 2 weeks to compare, If i can keep the money in my pocket this time of year!.

Do the right thing & wait. I've been waiting for the last 2 months & have been tempted to order on a few occasions. Only another couple of weeks now:D

Pretty much this, 480's are now sub £300, bargain! :)

GTX 570 will be a very similar performing product priced £270-£300, so similar price and performance. Though the GTX 570 I suspect will be quieter and cooler, but we shall have to wait and see.

Still those with 480's thinking SLI, now at sub £300 its the time to do it, because were on our last stocks now, once 480's have gone they are gone, were not replenishing our stocks.

I was almost ordering a Gigabyte 460 gtx SLI setup but now you are guessing;) £270-£300 for a 570 i think i will wait till the 7th Dec
 
470's are excellent but theyre weak in terms of very detailed dx11 games, so id wait for the 570gtx or 6950, im wanting to sell mine soon and add a little to the cash i get to upgrade, batman struggles a TAD bit on maxx, and im wanting to go dual monitor soon for my work, and 3d modelling for my advertisement projects.
