Still to early for decorations, but flat mate went and got one last night and I'm sure it's going up when he gets home.

How ever 1st of December should be the start of shops putting out their Christmas stuff and when you can start thinking about presents and stuff.

Does anyone know what area of land is needed to grow all these damn trees for some generic families one day a year celebration ?

If the population is say 55million, how many households do we have? How many xmas trees are grown just for xmas day for the UK ?

I'm sure they make an enormous amount of money out of it. The trees we have are not proud 100 year old firs, they're little baby trees and they grow more for next year. I bet they're not moaning.

I'm going tree shopping on Friday. Mum works at a farm that sells them so I get free reign. I picked one on their display last year and I'm not sure they were too impressed. Whoops!

I got a new fake tree this year but its not going up for another week or two. Its awesome though, will take 30 seconds to put up, minimum hassle for me
