But it does stop the back end sliding trying to cause the car to spin
Try harder. It's always possible!330d made it all of 6 inches up the ice-based, 3-inch of snow covered road before I slid back to where I started.
wimps!!
I got to work in my smoker with only a few near misses, one maiming and a good old fashion crash into a cafe
I didn't know you joined the Met WG.

You tried steering in reverse in the snow? But it does stop the back end sliding trying to cause the car to spin
You tried steering in reverse in the snow?
MX5, Lowered suspension, 195/50/15 Michelin PE2's absolutely useless in even mild snow.
Tried feathering the clutch, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, reverse etc.
I managed to get it into a safe parking space by a friend at work sitting in my boot jumping up and down.
Having the handbrake on a little seemed to help a little but wasn't anywhere near being useful.
What width are MX5 rears?
