Each to their own but I am getting temps 10 degrees lower on my 965 using a Baram and some Arctic Silver tim so maybe try looking at other things. ie case ventilation.
What case is it and how many fans you got ie intake/exhaust?
Of course, it is completely dependent on the voltage applied as opposed to the overclocked speed . . . .
Yours might be stable at lower volts.
99% of those chips will do 3.6ghz on stock or nearly stock volts so voltage is not a problem in here.
Something must be wrong, maybe check if the cooler/chip surface is flat, might be CPU HS or the heatsink base not even.
sponge999,
an AMD® Phenom™ II X4 955 @ 3.6GHz should not be hitting 60°C full load using a Thermolab Baram?
What vCore is the chip set at? . . . are you 100% you done up the thumbs screws nice and tight? . . .
Which revision of the 955 are you using?? You should be able to do that speed at under 1.4 volts. I think my 965 C3 does 3.6 at 1.375 volts
Maybe get some mx2/3/4 instead of the zalman
As the thread has suggested the baram should be giving you good results. If you can't get them with that then in my opinion changing the cooler for another air one won't help as the baram is very good. Need to start thinking about ventilioation, fans, tim used etc
The 902 is a good case, my mate has it, there are 2 fans standard front and back are they all working? Have you cleaned any acucmulated dust form the filters?
Thought: Is it next to a radiator?
Have you tried returning everything to stock settings/voltages ie removing the overclock? That way you can see if its the overclock which I suspect it is.
And besides whats wrong with those temps for an overclocked system?
