Right, I have applied to do Social Work at Portsmouth, Chichester and Sussex. I went to my interview at Portsmouth and UCAS updated the day after with an unconditional offer from them. Im supposed to have an interview at chi on Friday, but have heard nothing from Sussex.

Being a mature student I have no idea about UCAS and wont be waiting for results etc. As Portsmouth is my number one choice, being a short train ride away, I see no point in bothering with the others.

Is this right? however UCAS wont let me accept as I have no decisions from the others, can I get ucas to cancel my others and just accept Portsmouth?

someone please tell me if im doing it wrong lol

Wait until you have heard back from all the Universities where you have applied.

Then you pick a first choice (being Portsmouth) and a second choice. It's just how UCAS works.

I'm a mature student myself but I've been fortunate to get some help on all this.

but it says i wont get a second choice if i have an unconditional, as u dont need to make an insurance and as pompey is where I want to go then I should just accept that one surely?

If you want to accept Portsmouth you can cancel the other two choices. It should then let you accept (possibly, there may be a date cutoff too).

Not sure where that is from.

Once you have filled out the UCAS stuff and make payment UCAS then send if off to the Universities, you should have had some generic welcome email from them letting you know they have received your application.

From what I know you can't make any decision until all universities have responded. I would find it odd how UCAS have any control over any other decisions from other Universities, UCAS merely pass on information to them and they in return respond, usually within 4 weeks.

I can't say my information is 100% true but I feel pretty certain it is. I guess you could always give them a ring if you want a definitive answer.

Similar situation here, when I did it I only really wanted to go to one uni so as soon as I had an offer from them, I declined all my other offers because I knew I would get into it.
