I'm currently on an old 8800gtx because my 4870X2 has died.

I don't have a budget as such but i'd like to not pay over £300,

I play at 1920x1200 so i want something that can handle that res at high settings, and something that is an improvement over my 4870X2,

mainly play WoW but i play most new releases as they come out.

If you can, hold off a coupla weeks to see the new offerings from AMD/ATI

If you cant then best bet would be a 470 for single card solution (i.e. no intent of ever going dual cards) or a 6870 if you think you might want to add a 2nd later, both are comfortably within budget at under 200 notes but imo this is the sweet spot for price/performance

Yeah, too many choices and timing couldn't be worse.

Wanted to get a new card before cata came out on the 7th which the 6900 cards should have done but were delayed i guess, so struggling to hold off.

definatly want a new card though, looking at the 570 when it comes aswell. /shrug

promised my younger brother he could have my old rig which includes the graphics card i'm using now as a temp so has to be done before xmas.

Just remember single cards outperform dual cards every single time in WoW, and if you aren't gaming at silly high resolution like I do with my 4870x2 you won't go far wrong with a 6870, in my opinion.

If Wow is the main game you will be playing then Nvdia will be a better choice for you i think

Wow seems to run better on Nvdia cards apparently.

A GTX 470 would be a brillaint buy, or you could wait for the 570 thats being released on the 7th this month, expect to pay £300 for that card though.
