Is the product key the same one for the Vietnam option as my main game?? if so it says the key is already in use and won't procede.

Vietnam has not been released yet. It has been mentioned about a million times in the preceding pages. ;)

I found that Harvest Day was quite laggy at times. I'm a bit puzzled as to why though :confused:
 
Haven't noticed any lag on new maps, though when we were playing earlier several of the servers fell over and died midway through
 
got to download patch again :(

went to backup my BC2 folder with this update on, so i deleted my old backup before copying new files across and after the transfer i noticed that i had deleted the wrong one!! (off the internal) and 'backed up' to old folder back onto the internal to the external!

ironically i was watching the apprentice on BBC1 when i was doing all this, now i know how they feel when 'failing a task' :p

Good to play with you again as usual. Hopefully we can get get into the same squad next time. It's been a fair while since I last played BC2 got to be at least 3 months.
 
Did they update PB? I was in a game earlier and pb was banning so many people, at least i assume thats what it was doing. It must've banned 20 people in less than 30 minutes, unless i was reading it wrong.

Only played Harvest and Cold War. Harvest is great and frigging huge, looks like it could be awesome for softcore but a bit of a pain on hardcore with so many places for snipers. Cold War is ****. Plain and simple. Winter map so you've already gotta put up with ridiculous amounts of snow obscuring your view, but then its also in a densely packed town so its just an endless spam of RPGs and Nade launchers and Nades. Its basically Arica Harbour conquest just 100x worse.

On the point of Harvest Day looking like other maps... isn't it basically the first level of the original Bad Company? Because if not it looks damn similar and i played it a couple of days ago. So technically other maps look like it.

Not a fan of harvest day on conquest, too much sniping about.

The snow one is pretty much grenade spam everywhere.

Oasis is good, but I don't have a clue where I am going on the Rush map so I keep getting killed a lot, same with Harvest on Rush. Quite good maps, Oasis is my favourite so far.

As with all these new maps, it takes a while for everything to settle down a bit, then you can have a good game.

My K/D ratio got a right hammering though.

Yeah, fun games :D. Damn ninja got me on harvest day, don't even know where he came from with that c4 :(. That's what censor was screwing with, wouldn't let me say damn ninja :confused:
 
This game is great.

But to really enjoy it and have a meaning full session, you need two organised objective driven teams, not a band of ragged teens screwing about.

In other words I didnt enjoy Heavy Metal map as everyone was just off joy riding rather than actaully engaging in an on going war.
 
same as any new game or big update goon. give it a little while and maybe it will level out plus everyone being trapped by snow might help :D
 
Had a quick game last night on the new maps on a random server. Server was poor and ruined it a bit but can see it being really fun when I get a good solid session on the servers I normally play on. Not long until 'nam now which will be great!
 
Oasis is an immense map, I think the devs should be very proud of that one. It's like a massive Arica Harbour. Great map. Hope the lag gets sorted out soon though as it really impeded my gameplay at crucial moments. Can't wait for it to all settle out though and map rotations to include the old maps aswell!
 
I've not played in a good 4 months. There have been quite a few updates and re-gamemoded maps in the patches. I noticed that the assault shotgun is more deadly now. I used to be prepared to use a burst after firing it, but even at medium distance can be 1 hit kill aimed at center of mass with magnum bullets.

I don't get lag on any of the new maps, I have q9550 @3.8Ghz and 5770 standard 4GB ram.

I crashed in a chopper and it exploded so I'm not sure about "invincible choppers" didn't seem that way to me.

Is there a way to get BFBC2 recognized in steam with the disk version. I added it but its a non-steam shortcut.
 
Played Oasis and Havest Day rush maps and not noticed any lag, maps seem quite large, yea i think they are both sniper and engineer bias but thouse are the classes i enjoy.
So does this patch mean its R10 as i cant find any info on the R10 patch, i was wondering if engine optimization were made.
