Same. Think Russia's argument of the east never hosting a world cup did the business. FIFA and co seem to like this (Africa last time ..)

The thought of going to some Russian backwater to watch a football match frankly scares the crap out of me. People had bad things to say about South Africa prior to the World Cup but Russia is another story. FFS, they're in the news this week for being run as a 'mafia state'.

Apparently Qatar are looking happy and England delegation are looking "glum"...

I think out of anywhere, Qatar must be the most ridiculous place to host the world cup! You'll just be left with loads of expensive, empty stadiums in the desert after it finishes!

Gut feeling that England aren't going to get this, I'd prefer it to go to Spain/Portugal than Russia as I'd probably go.

2010 and 2014 went to "developing" a football legacy, I think 2018 and 2022 they'll want to probably go back to safe bets to make some serious cash.
