Heavy metal just seems to be snipers hiding in the hills in foliage.

Im wondering when Dice will get it through their heads that a class cap server option is something this game needs...As soon as a map like this appears that offers high position and plenty of foliage to hide in the sniper class is out in force.

there's half a dozen tanks a few jeeps an 4 choppers, what the hell are you doing in a position to be sniped at in the first place?

Quick question about the EA store. When do they take money for pre-orders, straight away? or when it comes out. Site says they charge the day after the purchase has been placed, but does that count for pre-orders or does it just sit on order submitted until near the time, then gets placed, then money comes out?

this totally owned me almost every other spawn when I played this map for the first time. Couldn't do a damn thing about it with the snipers working to keep us at bay :(

Course you can, if you can't line up a Gustav or RPG to hit it before you die, a Tracer never fails. Then its just a case of respawning and pointing it to the sky and they never knew what hit em.

There was absolutely no need to make you parachute in.

The money for my vietnam preorder was taken out of my paypal account the same night as i purchased it.

Harvest Day and Oasis are great fun when you have a couple of teammates who actually understand the concept of 'anti vehicle warfare'. 5 second delays between firing the RPG and it hitting the tracered tank the other end of the field and watching it get blown to pieces never ceases to be amusing. We held our opponents so easily because they couldn't push in without the tank support that kept getting blown to pieces if it attempted to come closer.

If anyone's thinking about picking this up, a certain website that is also a rainforest in south america is currently selling it for £12.99, I just got it with free shipping! Bargain!

Better than steam who were wanting £19.99, and with the £7 I saved i'll be putting it towards Nam!

Love the new maps, DICE may not always get it right and can be quite slow to update but at least they are giving us free new content and not just saying 'you have to pay for more maps' *cough* IW

I was going to get from Amazon but wanted to play it tonight lol.

But after a hour of downloading from steam virgin slowed my net down to 256kb donwload limit :( 5-6 hours to go :( thats a 10 meg line

I Really like the close combat intensity of Cold War. This free map map has also convinced me to give EA some cash for Vietnam.

Close combat? lolwut? Unless you define close combat as within 30m there is practically none of it. The map is dominated by explosives spam or camping sections of wall that have been blown up already.

I think you mean Activision not IW.

I do define close combat as fighting within 30m.
