Just turned on my pc a few minutes ago and got lines running up and down the screen.

I take it thats a sign of deadness?

I get green lines going across the screen. Only bought this card back in feb.

It sounds like a GFX problem, but I'm no expert on graphics card faliure. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along shortly.

Is it at stock clocks? Sounds a bit like duff memory... Perhaps boot into safe mode and remove the drivers (and CCC) as well as any utilities such as MSI afterburner if you use them, reboot and install again?

Also what brand PSU?

Changed to an hdmi cable and now the lines are gone.

I freaked out for a second there.

I had some weird lines the other day, couple weeks old 5870 here, some strange vertical lines when I got to my desktop all on the right hand side, they disappeared after about 10 minutes. I hope it is your HDMI cable, it can't be mine I'm on DVI
