After just reading the Wiki on GeForce 400 Series. It appears they all have the same GPU with 16 groups of 32 processors each. The cheaper models having groups lock some what like the way AMD lock cores out of there chips.
The GTX480 has one group locked. The GTX470 has two groups locked. The GTX has five groups locked. The Tesla also appears to use the same CPU but with two groups locked.
The Tesla also apparently to have accelerated double floating point performance with the GeForce cards being software restricted.
So my question is if it is possible to unlock any aspect of the cheaper cards?
Thanks
