Blackberry Playbook....

Looks really good....cant wait for this to be released...hopefully looking at March 2011 for the Euro release...definitely will be pre-ordering soon as they are available to order.

Playbook looks fast and fluid with the scroll and swiping gestures.

Any idea of the price of it Spawn? Are we talking £400-600 or £1000+ :p

Hmmm decent price... Wonder what the price plans are like. If theyre high then I may have to have work swap my work phone for one of these lol

We got one of these here, very nice to use. VERY similar to WebOS on the Palm Pre (not surprisingly). Very slick and fast for a prototype too, I think it should do well with the right marketing and price point.

Have.you.seen.the.multitasking.on.Honeycomb? ;)

LOL nope and not interested...next please...im far more interested in this than the Android...hell im far more interested to see what Apple have in store for the ipad 2...should be some great tablets out soon either way.

If they can stick the dalvik VM on there so we can run Android apps, I think they're on to a winner. The interface looks smooth as silk, multitasking is all you could ask for, and the bezel swipe system is genius for task management.
I expect it'll still be out of my price-range (can't really justify a tablet other than as a pure geek device, since I already have a smartphone, laptop and ebook reader. I want one but can't see myself actually using it more than an hour a month at best). Could definitely see myself recommending one to my dad since he travels a lot and has a blackberry atm anyway.

Impressive UI! Take note Android! The UI on android devices is so simplistic in comparison. Every application on Android 3.0 looks like it was made by a different department and stuck together into one big operating system!

Edit: what's this nonsense I've read online about needing a blackberry mobile to use the device with enterprise email? Is this true and if so how would that effect exchange email? Can you still use the built in email client to connect to exchange without a blackberry? Seems a bit daft if you have to own a blackberry device :(

If only the iPad 2 would support flash ffs!!

I really cant see why anyone would want to use a non android device to run android on it...just think its a complete waste of time and personally if you want an android tablet then get one rather than trying to put it on something that isnt made for it:confused:

Unfortunately yes, it will need to be paired with a BlackBerry phone to receive E-Mail either over BES or normal push POP3/IMAP E-Mail.

From what I've read, the 3G version coming out later in the year will support it's own E-Mail client though.

that not what he is saying is it - blackberry themselves are incorporating dalvik VM so they can use android apps not the whole android OS. It makes it more appealing to know that theres loads of android apps that will run on this

I like this playbook but there no point in going and bashing Android as homycomb is just as good in multitasking and the UI is good too

EDIT: the internet browser is the most important to me and i'll be impressed if BB can match googles.
