*** The Apprentice 6 ***

The tourist company gave them cash receipts less commission.
They then gave the tourist company 20% of their entire takings.
I assume.

Assuming it was done that way they still never clarified if the 20% they took from the total was greater than the total value of the tickets the tourist company sold.

The Apprentice: The Final Five is on BBC1 tonight at 8pm.

As this year's series of the business-based reality show nears its conclusion, parents, friends and former bosses, along with Alan Sugar's trusted aides Nick Hewer and Karren Brady, discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the remaining contenders for this year's title

It's on against the live Coronation Street episode. poor scheduling from the BBC but I'll be watching.

I thought Jamie would be gone this week but he was brilliant to be honest, even with his "20 diameters in width" and other comedy comments.

I really can't believe Stuart wasn't fired, if I was Chris or someone else in the board room next week I'd just use the "I can make you millions Mr Sugar" line that somehow worked for Stuart, Liz should have just said "well I've made you over £100,000 already how much has Stuart made you so far?".

The 20% *was* their commission.

The 20% that the team handed over to the tourist company was obviously at least part of their commission, yes. But what about the takings that the tourist company received from the customers? They'd have had to pay some of this back to the team.

What's not clear is whether the team paid the tour company the 20% of what they took themselves then got paid by the tour company in a separate transaction, or just netted them off and paid the 20% of what they took, less what they were owed by the tourist company.

If the latter, this would mean that the team made far more on their own than the tourist company received themselves.

E.g. tour company takes £200, team takes £1,000.

Tour company pays £160 to team (£200 less 20% commission), team pays £200 to tour company.

Or team just pays the net of £40 to tour company.

The way she harassed that poor bloke to breaking point and then turned round saying she felt threatened was just unbelievable, I'm surprised that nothing was made of that in the boardroom

That was appalling behaviour from Joanna. She was being pretty bitchy to Jamie who was quite calm in letting Joanna know she wasn't happy. Her reaction to him was just unbelievable. How she got away with that I'll never know.

the interviews tonight!, this is my favorite bit of the apprentice :)

No it isn't!

As this year's series of The Apprentice draws to a close and the tension mounts, this programme profiles the remaining five candidates.
Revealing the true stories behind their super-confident egos, we discover what really makes these budding business men and women tick.
Parents, friends and former bosses, along with Lord Sugar's trusted aides Nick Hewer and Karren Brady, discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the final five personalities.

The last two episodes have been absolutely brilliant entertainment, cringeworthy in parts.

Oddly, I find myself agreeing with Lord Sugar on this occasion, although I do not doubt that Baggs will have a bit of a shocker in the interview rounds, after which he will get rid of him then!

Baggs really is providing very entertaining telly though! Maybe Liz's good looks have detracted from the fact that ultimately, she wasn't really that special a candidate?

Interesting programme tonight.

I've even more respect for Stella after hearing about the upbringing she had. It also appears that Bagg's wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth as well!

She set an Apprentice record of selling £99k worth of goods in an earlier task and on this occasion made twice as money as Stuart "I will make you a millions Mr Sugar" Baggs, I think there's a fine between confident and delusional and Stuart is probably the latter.

He is great entertainment though in a Gillian McKeith sort of way. :p

shame the completely insane woman got fired a while back.

the first few episodes are the best and it gets duller as it does on.

the crazies drop out an it gradually gets worse, like any other talent show the only fun part is watching the nutters fail.
