hey guys, i just recently purchased a samsung BX2450 for my new build, but unfortunately it sits to low for eye level. matters aren't helped either by the fact that my desk is already too low, and i'm too goddamn tall!

so essentially i'm looking for a simple but decent mount to raise the monitor up. not a vesa stand or anything like that. it is a 24 inch and pretty sleek looking, so i am looking for something which can support that size without taking away from the aesthetics. nothing i have found so far online seems to fit the bill.

was wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions?

A couple of (aesthetically pleasing) encyclopaedias? I used to do this with my old BenQ a few years ago.
Ha ha, same here.:D My old viewsonic vx2025 had no height adjustment either. Current Benq fp241w is height adjustable, pivots and rotates etc, however i may wall mount it to give me room on my desk for a big telly.

it's not revolutionary but it probably would do the job! :)

however, and it's not as though i am just wanting to throw money around or anything, after spending as much as i have on my rig (almost £1700), it would seem a bit of a shame to be having to prop this lovely monitor on top of a couple of books!

so, any more thoughts?

How about 4 house bricks painted in pleasing colours that you pass off as some sort of modern art piece :p.

On a slightly more helpful note, have you have a look at any of the big office supply/stationary companies. You may find a suitable item by 3M or Fellowes for about £20. Some have a storage drawer. May not meet your aesthetic requirement though.

Edit: If it is ok to mention them for this purpose, Amazon have a decent selection worth checking out.
