All this commotion over a tree, poor tree yeah but meh, it has nothing to do with Christianity ffs... Hopefully it went to good use like for furniture or firewood.

The Holy Thorn tree on Wearyall Hill is thought to have been planted by Joseph of Arimathea nearly 2,000 years ago.
For all I care it's just a tree, even if it was planted by him, doesn't make it a special tree or anything.
The original Glastonbury Thorn itself was cut down and burned as a relic of superstition by Cromwellian troops (or 'Roundheads' by another source) during the English Civil War.
