i thought you meant killing the pilot, cause hitting it 50 times is just pointless.

Also in vietnam every gun will dmg the heli to compensate for no tracers.

I was wondering why the Uzi in that video seemed to be damaging the aircraft. And yeah hitting it 50 times is ridiculous and if you aren't aiming to hit the pilot its not even worth bothering. I assume heli's have more health to compensate for the fact they can be shot down by regular weapons?

Took some getting used to but i seem to have gotten the hang of the shotgun slugs now (though theres always the odd game where things just never seem to hit when they clearly should've done) which makes for some good shotgun sniping fun.

I was on there too. Did you experience the server crash that kicked everyone off??

I wasn't sniping (as I'm rubbish at it) but was doing support as medic for some of the SAS guys in my squad.

Er, you're confusing killing the pilot with damaging the chopper, as hilarious as it is to see the heli fall out of the sky after you kill its pilot (shame you don't get points for it...).

I still want to know how i got the Ace Pin playing as Engineer despite a KDR of 9/14 :p (<3 AT Mines)
 
Havn't played BC2 since June, but fired it up last night for a bit, still as fun a game as ever...I really need to play it more. Actually think I clocked more hours into the beta than the full game.

Was a bit rusty but did fairly well, years of playing 1942 & BF2 still proving useful. Think I doubled my time in a tank on one map last night which shows you how little I've played, well played in vehicles. Even got a lucky twitch sniper shot on a helicopter pilot as he flew past me :D Hardly ever play sniper but think it was my 2nd or 3rd heli snipe since the beta, so yay for lucky shots.

I love it when it happens to a Blackhawk pilot. 1 moment its circling the island, the next its dropping towards the sea like a ton of bricks and makes a lovely explosion and you get people jumping out all the way down to the water.

any gun can shoot the pilot but hitting a heli anywhere with an m95 will do 2 points of dmg, so basically worthless. would be better off on a mounted mg.

If you're sniping at a chopper you're aiming for the pilot.
 
thats very true remember sniping pilots on a hc server and door gunners good fun when u take em out even better when u handgun a door gunner to death, whos on the beer drinkers tonight ?

I have played BC2 maybe 10 hours online this week and I have had about three crashes, each time the game would just freeze during a match and I would have to ctrl-alt-delete and kill the process. I have manually updated PB using PB's own update program. No other game freezes so it seems to be a game issue rather than my machine.

If anyone has any other ideas as to why this is occurring and how to solve it, I would be grateful :)

Yeah i think its not updating PB to the lastest version or when i updated it my self steam fixed what ever was wrong with it.

But so far still no crashes or loss of conection just getting killed a lot some times lol
 
Well its nothing to do with Steam. I had the retail version of MW a while back that used Punkbuster and that would NEVER update itself even automatically so everytime i had to delete it then install the latest version. If i didn't it wouldn't crash, it would just **** you off and kick you from games like the useless piece of crap it is. BC2 i think i had a punkbuster failkick the very first game i joined after it went live and i've never seen it since.
