Dragon Age is another game that has passed me by and with the second one looming I would like to give this a go. Steam has Origins for £15 or Origins + Awakening and all DLC for £25.

With the reviews not being as favourable for Awakening and the DLC is it worth the extra tenner?

I would get the GOTY version, BUT only when its on sale. Remember that the DLCs add a fair amount of content in total.

You probably only have to wait a few days till the Steam Xmas sale anyway.

or just get them all for £17.69

Yes the game is worth the money, i loved the game and the DLCs are some what fun.

Well worth the 18 quid.

And i wouldnt buy the normal game over the GOTY edition.

Good find, but if the OP doesn't mind waiting a bit (and taking a small risk) I'm still betting that Dragon Age GOTY will be on special offer for less on the Steam Sale. Still it is such ridiculous good value for the amount of time that it really doesn't matter I guess.

I would skip Awakening personally, unless it's too late.

edit: best character is probably a duel-wielding warrior/rogue if you want to do ridonculous damage.

Well I just finished by first playthrough as mage. The class is very versatile and loads of fun. Lots of high damage spells, crowd control and AoE.

Blood magic is fun and you can even go an armour wearing, sword wielding Arcane Warrior!

A high level Arcane warrior/spirit healer is virtualy unkillable if specced correctly. That's what I playing at the moment.

He doesn't hold aggro as good as a warrior specced as a tank, but the survivability is insane.

I played through as a mage, with morrigan, wynne and alistair as my main party.

Basically i would equip alistair with all my spell resistant gear send him in a room then have my 3 mages cast all there AOE spells into the room with him and he took little to none damage.

Good tactic if your finding the game abit hard lol.

Or fit him with Wade's Superior Dragonbone Armour (70% fire resistance) and have mages cast inferno.

get the lot :p

One olf the dlc lets you play as the dark spawn apparently :p
