I have also changed my Corsair H70 fans to 2 x Apache Black's in a push/pull configuration, and have split them from the CPU fan header with a PWM splitter.
Oh I see. My Arctic cooler does the job... but I've seen some nice reviews on that so I may invest in it for those few more degrees more cooling... Would the screws not come with the fan?
I believe that the H70 comes with 2 fans and 2 lots of screws. As the H50 only has 1 Fan then you only get 1 set of screws. However you do get every current CPU mounting brackets. So far I have been very pleased with the H50, even under load the temp never goes above 36 degrees and that was running Intelburn and Prime for stability check.
Akasa Viper, very good fan, using 3 myself on a 360 Rad, when l had a H50 the Viper performed even better than the Apache. Viper > push/ Yate Loon or other good 120mm fan Pull.
I have recently just bought these for my H70 and omg the noise level has dropped so much I cant hear them unless there at max and even then its not that bad at all!
