I'm on the look out for a new case and it seems to be out of these two but not sure which, has anyone had either case or can anyone sell it to me.

I've got the HAF 932 which is nearly identical to the X and it is a fabulous case! plenty of room, great air flow... can't go wrong :)

The phantom looks a little... tacky to me (sorry to all phantom owners lol)

HAF X is huge, good space but it will be noisy :) No offense. Huge fans.

Anyone tried Antec! It would be a good choice

There's no adding 80 mm fan or 120 mm except the exhaust fan side. Downside is that. You are limited.
I am using it.

Plenty of room for long graphics cards and huge CPU coolers in a HAF X, not so much room in the Phantom, its width isn't wide enough for my Corsair A50, which isn't the biggest cooler on the market by any means.

ok thanks for all off your comments, ive been looking at few vids on youtube and im sold,i will be getting the HAF X

There seems to be some fans i need to buy which are not included like
230x30
120x25
80x15

any recommendations on good fans.

Not sure why you need more fans than what come with it?

It comes with the big front fan, side fan and rear fan, and 1 top fan.
You can fit another 200mm one on top, another 120mm on the optional graphics card duct, and a 80mm on the video card support thingy, but you don't really need them all unless you have serious heat issues.

I'd say get the HAF X as standard and see how it goes, then you can decide for yourself if you need extra fans, and then consider adding extra more quiet fans, or some noisier high performance fans to suit your needs.
I've just got my HAF X, and am glad I didn't buy extra fans that I don't need ;)

I have the Phantom, and its definitely not tacky or cheap, well built tons of room, and the best cable management I have seen on any case, and mine with 8 fans in it cant be heard and I sit right above it.

It really is a very good case, and a lot more understated than the pictures show, the curves are not nearly as much in real life as they look on line in photos, videos etc.

Best case I have owned for coolness, space and very very quiet to boot.
