Anyone hear applied for the Apprentice

I'm sure there is someone on here who applied for the junior apprentice, some one who has applied for the regular apprentice and there is some one who was on Dragons Den.

Can't remember who exactly, Booner! springs to mind or some one else begging with 'B'.

edit----->

For reference it was britboy4321 who was on Dragons Den. :)

Someone here was pitching a product to the apprentices as part of a task if I recall. Or maybe it was dragons den, or both. ;)

That was Dragons Den, I believe they posted a link to the video.

No, I haven't because I don't have a massive gap between my self-belief and ability and I have an economics degree, a masters in business administration and more than a decade of well rounded experience. They wouldn't be interested in me because I would be able and make rubbish telly.

After reading that I would have to say you would fit in quite well with that statement.

Yes it is a thread killer I guess, maybe I should take some lessons off yourself as I wasn't aware that I am in school again

While you're there you can check up on the humility class as well ;)

A question was asked, I answered it. You messed up, get over it :P

As far as I know it's not very different to any other reality T.V show apart from the fact you are REQUIRED to be a smug self righteous ******.

I applied and gave it 100%. Guess it wasn't enough.

Silly boy, your never gonna get anywhere giving 100% when everyone else is giving at least 200%.

I would imagine the trick is to be in a budget sales position with little in the way of intelligence or skill and a slight personality imbalance. The ability to ignore everyone else due to an overinflated sense of your own talents and abilities can't be overestimated.

I've interviewed one of the candidates who was on there and they said it is VERY heavily edited for TV and to make them look stupid (but then she was fired fairly rapidly, so bound to be a little sour!!)

Girl at work who is an utter bint, entirely self centred and a real bulldozer as far as getting her way applied and was invited to the interview stages and for screen test but bottled it. She would have fitted in perfectly!!

Met Lee McQueen that won at National Sales awards in 2009 - nice dude to be fair!

I am sure Lee McQueen has left the job

I was a contestant on Dragons Den

So, had my 15 minutes of fame.

My product (a way of linking your PC to an exercise bike for 3d riding fun) got ripped to shreds by them. And I was on the telly :)

They have 6 bar heaters, pointing at you, which they ONLY TURN ON when the dragons ask tough questions. So you get hit with a tough question and suddenly you're absolutely roasting in there (hence the sweating - it's not because the people there are that nervous) -- whilst the dragons have their own individual AC units, so they remain 'cool' at all times.

Its fake money on the tables apart from the top £50 note.

At one point one dragon slated the product, and I just smiled (he said an insult, not a question). The director said 'Stop stop cut cut cut -- right -- when he says that comment I want you to look at your shoes, count to 3, then we can continue'. So the dragon repeated his insult, and I 'artificially' looked absolutely gutted. You have to sign a form saying you are 'prepared to take 'direction' at the director's liberty'.

Anyway if anyone wants to know any part about being a contestant on the thing (or the whole process) let me know.

Oh, before you figure it out, yes indeed my product

a) Was cr&p
b) Failed utterly
c) I am a rubbish entreprenieur and have given it up forever - a normal job pays more!

!!
