Took delivery of my monitors today (though one has to go back as it was a 24" for some reason). Currently trying to get surround working and being met with nothing but hardlocks when the resolution is applied in games. Works fine on the desktop but as soon as a game starts and i change the res it locks up every single time without fail, tried lowering the res to 3072x1080 and same thing. Currently installing an older driver to see if that sorts it. :(

Do you have multi display/mixed GPU acceleration set to multi in the control panel? not sure if it affects nv surround tho.

Also possible your running out of VRAM at higher resolutions with those 295s so try turning AA off to test (doesn't always fail gracefully).

Tried setting it to both multi and single same result. Turned aa off and get the same thing, a hardlock black screen while the games music continues to play.

My mobo doesnt natively support sli so im using the sli hack, not sure if that would have much to do with i though since its displaying the desktop in surround.

That very well could be - on the desktop in surround it doesn't actually use SLI but for fullscreen 3D it does.

Ended up reading up on it quite a bit, seems to be very hit or mis if it works or not. Ended up ordering a 5870 with the sapphire adaptor, just sold a 5870 the other day as well. :(

Duff-man had this issue recently, a reinstall of Windows 7 sorted it out for him, a dual boot of Vista he had at the same time worked straight away with it though, so I'd assume it was a driver issue possibly with Windows 7, it might just be a quirk though since 7 and Vista use the same driver. On a side note, Rroff, you asked how many screens he was using? I hope you were going to say 2 don't work. :p

I asked because some of the leaked 250 drivers do appear to let you use 2 displays but it doesn't work properly.

I thought his issue was the larger resolutions not showing up? Ive checked around though and it seems pretty rare flor it to work using the sli hack patch.
