London police arent allowed to use sniffer dogs on muslims

Be thankful you live under our law and not some other land where homosexuality is punishable by death or adultery by stoning or getting lashed for OMG wearing trousers !!!

You fail to see I that it is this freedom I value most but that said we are heading down the wrong path by creating some groups more equal than others.

I am indeed quite thankful for that. Hence why I am also distrustful of anyone that would like to restrict the rights of other minorities that they dislike. You say you value freedom the most and yet the many posts you make decrying Islam and calling for it to be banished from these shores seems to be in opposition to that.

I know RDM there is no freedom of speech if it upsets the minorities. We are led to believe there is freedom of speech. Ban on the horizon. Excuse me for speaking my mind & what I feel. It's sad that we cant express ourselves freely anymore in how Britain is changing & how it will affect our kids. Here's to freedom of speech & bans.

Some people can express their concerns with coming across as an ignorant racist. ;)

No, it is more that there is no freedom of speech on a private message board. Freedom of speech is specifically to do with the restrictions the government can place on you. Within the UK that generally means you cannot use it to incite hatred against religions, races, genders or sexual orientations.

You have to ask whats next. Next it will be "It is recognised that the proximity of any Police or MI5/6 to a follower of Islam can cause great distress or offence. With this in mind Police or MI5/6 will not be used to search the home, place of worship or religious instruction, or immediate workplace of any Muslim: unless there is an immediate risk to life or national security, or in instances where the immediate investigation may be compromised due to loss of evidence and no other reasonable tactical options were available.

You are right, you are perfectly entitled to freedom of speech, it's a shame that you exercise the right to be stupid at the same time.:p

That depends on what side you are batting for. Me? lets say I'm not into pandering to foreigners rights all the time & turning our Country into an unknown quantity.

find one post where i say it should be banished.

I want Muslims or whoever to simply live by our existing laws not try and adapt them to suit themselves, I want a government no a society that doesn't appease them at every opportunity.

Live here? Respect the culture and laws of the land.

I'm not inciting hatred. I'm replying to a thread based upon what I feel. If you think I'm inciting hatred, well how the followers of my post are easily lead.

So you must be what, 70-80 years old?

Because the first Muslim immigrants arrived in the UK in the 1950's.

Not entirely true, the first references to islamic inhabitants in Britain was in the 12th century, also Chaucer speaks of an islamic school in The Canterbury Tales.

The first englishman to convert to islam was John Nelson in the 16th century.

the first mass migration was during the 17th century with the sailors brought over by the east india company and again during the 19th century 80000 yemeni workers arrived from building the suez canal.

Britain has been multicultural for almost 700 years, much to the annoyance of the fearful and ignorant among us unfortunately.

20 years ago people would have said that the sniffer dog thing wouldnt ever happen. They said that being allowed to wear their costumes where you can only see their eyes, in court, would never happened. And its all happened.

It would be interesting to take a poll on the age of posters and their views on this as i feel that those under a certain age have had to live with the labour propaganda machine in schools and media for over a decade.

I would guess those of us over 35 tend to have different view? Or perhaps its a regional thing?

Some of us in this thread are the biggest anti-Labour posters on this forum.

I don't share your views and I am somewhat over 35. I think it has more to do with ignorance, fear and plain stupidity than age or some supposed propaganda machinations of the previous government.

Yes of course, a different opinion is always down to ignorance isn't it....
