What's The Most You've Ever Lost In Online Poker?

Online? Nothing - can't see the attraction in gambling online.

In a Casino - nothing on poker as I don't play it but £500 on Black Jack perfect pair and Roulette respectively last year.

Only go once a year though and this year went a bit easier and just played some of my xmas bonus (which was a suprise!) so £200 on each. Won £300 on Blackjack and £250 on Roulette, so £150 up in total by the end of the night :) Still didn't get a free breakfast grrrrr - my local casino are rubbish at comping :-(

people actually do this ?

Do what? Gamble?

No, no one gambles at all. All those internet sites for gambling never get any visitors. Also, all the bookie shops are empty along with all the casinos :-/

Gambling is for losers.

a lot of people who play poker, or "gamble", for a living make way more than you could ever dream of

but thanks for your judgement

most I've ever lost in a day is $10k. was playing 5/10 online and just tilted pretty bad. lifetime I'm a big winner which is what matters

Technically I never lost it but might as well have.

After playing for almost 9 hours in a WSOP qualifier I went out one place short of the main prize which was your $10,000 entry fee, flights, accomodation, expenses etc.

Worst of it was, I was about 5th place in chips and wasn't really paying attention. I had KK and the flop had a K too. Just my luck there was an ace and I was up against AA so I called his all in.

If I had just folded every hand and waited for one of the short stacked to be out, I would have had my WSOP award.

So technically, due to one stupid click of call I lost about $15,000.:(

Trouble is, nobody's laying that down. You're there to play, not pussy out and wait for someone else's demise. What if they doubled up 4 times! I've seen it done in a similar situation and learned my lesson.

In one go? I lost a $1,150 pot once. Don't ever want to get at that level again, it's heartbreaking.

Although you are right if that had been a normal money tourney as you should play for 1st, not just the bubble. The fact that if I had logged off and gone away, the odds that 1 of the 15 people below me wouldn't have lost an allin and I would have one my tickets would have been pretty good.

I think the entrance fee was $500 per man which I had won by going through other qualifiers so it was probably about 18 hours hard work down the pan.:(

Played some this weekend and lost about £100 overall. Not the end of the world but certainly a nice sum that could have been used for other things. Almost got tempted to just keep on playing more until I was in profit again...then decided to quit for good before it became an issue.

Quitting was the right decision. You were on the slippery slope there because that temptation leads to bad things (it very rarely works out).

As for me, nothing online, because I'm not good enough despite knowing (roughly) how to play. I walked into a casino in Vegas with $20 and walked out with $50. That'll do for me. :)

£150 in the space of an hour or two. Playing a mixture of Hold'em and BJ in between hands.

I've lost a lot more than that playing the lottery though.

Lost about £60-ish on Pokerstars. The only time I've ever played with real money.

Was a bummer though, as I put in £30, pretty much doubled it, then got drunk and forgot to limit my game. Next thing I knew, it was gone. D'oh!

Watched my brother build up his funds on party poker for months, got a pot of well over 5k going.

Then watched him lose it all over the space of 2 evenings....he didnt play badly or anything, his hands were just bettered.

He went all in and fully expected to win, he didnt and lost a massive amount.

bad times.
