Should rename thread to PC GAME OF THE YEAR - I'd have voted Red Dead Redemption given the option.

As it stands Mass Effect 2 was definitely one of the best of 2010. Just Cause 2 and Dead Rising 2 also got a lot of game time.
 
Starcraft 2! The game is a work of art and a worthy successor of the first game.

Mass Effect2 & BC2 was also pretty good.
 
Medal of Honour for me :)

I know its not great, the single player is pants, havnt played more than an hour of it, but really been ploughing into multiplayer once I got used to it :)

Just bought BC2 in the Steam Sale though, maybe ill change my mind lol :p
 
A small list! My game of the year would have been Mount & Blade:Warband.

I only own 2 of the games on the list, civ5 and just cause 2. I voted for civ because i am a long germ fan of the series, and civ 5 has refreshed thigs with a few new twists. Plus it is a dependable game I can see my self coming back to many times.

This is pretty much my thoughts. It really has stood out from the crowd this year as far as MP shooters go. The destructable environment is pretty epic and I think this game is now a benchmark for all future contenders. Sure, there have been a few glitches on the way with some odd patching at times, but all in all in has been a joy to play and a lot of fun.

I have tried so hard to not game so much this year and 'go oustide and do things', but this game has still managed to sink well over 400 hours of my time.
 
Cataclysm for me, though Mass Effect 2 is a close second. Blizzard have basically taken arguably the best MMO out there and made it better. Its pretty much wow:2, with thousands of new quests, totally revamped zones, new races, talent trees, and fantastic new content.

And totally disagree that PC gaming has had a bad year, when you look at that list of titles in the poll, there are some truly epic games that have come out of 2010.
 
Toss between Bioshock2 and Fallout NV.

I'm only 15 hours in NV so it's hard to tell. The game is riddled with bugs and the graphics looks dated but it's just sooo addictive and great fun.

Bioshock2 on the other hand was such an improvement on the first, decent storyline, decent combat and the MP is awesome. I've spent most of the year playing the MP game. It's a shame the 2k missed off the dedicated server as being booted off half way through is a pain and has put many people off. However, BS2 gets my vote.

Worst game goes to Medal of Honor.. Too short.. too buggy.. too expensive.. too behind.. Too unoriginal.

I voted BFBC2 as no matter what other games have come out I still end back destroying buildings and with vietnam addon it's just got better in my eyes.
 
BFBC2 ;) Multiplayer only, This game just has it all Graphics, Game play, Believable and very very addictive.

Just installed Vietnam after spending 8 hours waiting for it to download :( one map so far and yes feels like a BF game :)

ME2 by far on pc followed closely bby starcraft2.
however my overall GOTY is Bayonetta on 360, which is just an amazing gaming experience from start to finish.
