First game online ever? You are quite a late starter :):p MOH is quite a tough one to start with actually, it's pretty unforgiving to newbies. I am quite experienced but still found BC2 quite tough going at first, and initially didn't like it. Once you get used to it and unlock some better weapons etc. it becomes a lot easier though.

Urgh, that got me killed several times earlier. Though i then found out my gf was dling something so put it down to that. I do frequently get lag problems though on certain servers, at least for a few minutes after joining. Practically unplayable till it sorts itself out, i shotgun someone then after emptying my entire pistol clip at them they drop dead from the initial shotgun slug...

I always wonder how annoying it is when you get spotted then dropped by a slug shotgun from half the map away :p

Looking forward to it. I have been enjoying MOH far more than I thought I would and have all 3 classes up to lvl 9 (been playing it too much according to my gf)

I never really thought I would enjoy online fps but you learn something new all the time. Got MOH in a sale the other week so thought I would give it a try.

ANy tips for a noob? (apart from avoid you ;))

I'm glad you are enjoying MOH, I got it last week and am loving it, you are ranked higher than me in all classes as well :p

I don't have any special words of wisdom for BC2 as I'm relatively new to it myself :) The weapons are better fired in bursts than full auto which you'll soon realise by playing anyway. One thing to do in BC2 is to spot enemies, ie. press Q when you have your crosshairs over an enemy and it alerts your team mates, plus you get extra points for the spot assist.

There are a very select few servers that limit the rank of players on them, see if you can find them (probably easier said than done though).

Don't try and fire full automatic at range. Burst or tapping tends to hit more so you kill faster. Best thing you can really do is try and focus on what the class is meant for. Assault is... assault (and chucking down ammo boxes a lot), Engineer is blowing the hell out of enemy vehicles and keeping your own topped up (the latter is easier said than done... most players like to drive away from you), Medic is covering fire and healing the team, Recon is... well Recon, if you snipe then make sure to Q spot whenever you can, if you go offensive use your recon probes whenever you want to know whats ahead/around you and it really helps your team.

What the hell is wrong with this game atm... i think the sudden flux of new players is screwing with the EA servers badly. Logged in and got requested to input my serial key :confused: relogged a few times and it eventually stopped asking and let me go on ><

Very nice, what's your in-game name? I am curious to see your stats, it sounds like they own mine :p

Mine... obviously a K/D ratio of under 1.0 isn't very good!

I had further issues with the stats server last night - forgetting my rank/etc.

On the other hand, I tried out shotgun slugs and I can see what you mean - they're as awesome as they were in the early days. I've been having great fun with them.

Yeah i think its still on the fritz. Earlier when i logged in no one on my friends list had a rank. Now halfway through a game it just lost connection to the EA server and kicked everyone out (i assume, since it took Steve with it). Oh and it seems the bfbc2 stats site is still paused and the statsverse 1 is completely broken.

Glad you like them, now just keep em away from me :D It is funny seeing the number of people who swap to shotguns during the SQDM if you do well with it.
 
Which server do you guys play in?

I have BC2 on PS3 and bought it for PC with Steam sales.
Also how do i join servers by putting in server address?

I cant find any OCUK servers, the one i found had no players in it.
And i'm getting connection issues... cant connect to EA servers and connection loss while playing or connecting.

Good question and I am not sure! I will let you know when at home tonight.

I have never checked my own stats but I reckon my K/D is still under 1. It is so easy to have a bad round and get taken out by lvl 15 players over and over again. I think I had a 1 kill 17 death game the other day :o

How do you check your stats and other people's just out of interest?

the k/d ratio doesnt mean your a better player you could just camp and play one map where camping benefits.

you could be the worst player in the world and still have a good k/d ratio if you get a nice camp spot.
lots of these kinda players who play this game and why it bores me after a few rounds .

if they culd have some kind of mod for this to take out all the dumb as noob stuff it could be quite good and a decent team based game .
the game without mg36 m60s noob launcher gustavs and other silly things it would be probably right up there.

all the so called pros on here or 90 percent use medic guns with some kind of rocket laucher or noob tube :( pretty lame .

You get extra points for capturing flags, kill streaks, head shots, saviour shots, revenge kills etc so possible to have a worse K/D and a higher skill level.
