London police arent allowed to use sniffer dogs on muslims

and nor are muslims. Read everything that has been posted, including the OP's linked article, and nowhere does it suggest that. The suggestion is that sniffer dogs are used when needed but if avoidable should be, if you read the other things posted it makes clear that it's not actually that much of an issue, and it's only if a dog buries it's nose into someone (usually indicating they've smelt something) that they'll be uncomfortable with it, because it means they have to wash those clothes IF they are a strictly practicing muslim.

i've already stated i recognise it is probably a non-story (although that phrase isn't really a logical one). i suggest you read the last part of your paragraph again and see if you are still ok with it? the part of the paragraph that begins with 'dog' and ends with 'muslim'.

But the same would apply to someone in a wheelchair, on crutches or someone who expressed they didn't like dogs, they will avoid unneccesary use, that's standard procedure, nothing new, all the OP actually refers to is making the police aware that it's something that might disturb muslims. They don't get any preferential treatment because of it

can you not see the problem here? you mention other cases of people who may not like it but who are the people kicking up a fuss about it? - muslims. it's a law of our land that people who are citizens must be prepared for, whether you like dogs or not. to keep our country safe, no one should have a problem with it.

NOBODY is kicking up a fuss about it, it's not the law of the land, there should be no security difference even if this particularly weak "advice" was acted upon, as I've mentioned the only time the dogs would exhibit the behaviour described as "offensive" is when they think they've detected something, which obviously isn't going to get changed. I've ""d advice because it's not advice as such, it's just a bit of information saying that some muslims could be uncomfortable around dogs, it's no different from saying that small girls might be uncomfortable around dogs.

90% of the "security measures" that you've mentioned several times over in this thread are all show to little or no benefit, they're easily circumventable, but they give the impression that they're doing lots to prevent terrorism, that's another discussion though.

how very observant. if you notice, it kind of kills of the statement that 'no one is kicking up a fuss about it'. excuse me for using probably the biggest and most obvious place to search.
I meant no muslims are kicking up a fuss about sniffer dogs, especially not asking for them to not be allowed to be searched by them. Your google search doesn't correct me on this. It's just the usual culprits reporting on this non-story, the top article is obviously a bit lighthearted and the only one from a semi-respected source. The most that can be seen is that london police are being made aware that using dogs could be offensive to muslims, that's not anyone kicking up a fuss, it's just the type of informative release that goes out, especially in a guide about muslims as linked by the OP

What if you sprayed a muslim with bong water and a sniffer dog or 2 went crazy when one walked past covered in it?

(I think people were doing this to businessmen in the tube then dealers walking past whilst the businessmen got searched)

ok. do a google search for 'people in wheelchairs' and 'sniffer dogs' (note the first result returned and do a search for 'people on crutches' and 'sniffer dogs' (again, note the first result) apparently the same reservations should apply to the afforementioned. they don't seem to be many stories about these people though, in fact, there isn't any.

why would there be? the papers don't like to kick up a fuss about disabled people...

make up your mind!

Are you competent enough to be allowed on the internet unsupervised.:p

I said I wasn't insulted by your or anyones opinion, that is different from being insulted personally (which doesn't bother me either), as any one with a modicum of intellect can discern.

So quoting two separate, unrelated posts and attempting to use that to justify your inherent prejudice is either stupid or dishonest, you know which you are. (if not both).

You quoted my single post in two posts, firstly you claimed you were offended then you claimed you werent, so i multiquoted you. Thats all. now your on about how im prejudiced, stupid or dishonest ? Do you start all of your posts with insults and leave a smiley at the end like you mean it to look like a joke ?
