expected to much (5870cf) ?

max res my monitor does is 1920x1080 (1080P) , i was going to go for a 3 monitor setup but was not sure if my cpu was good enough to run these 2x 5870's with the 3 monitors .
both my 5870's are running at 875/1225

tried to install them , it would not install them (no compat ati gfx detected)

Uninstall your current drivers, restart PC.. go into device manager and check that after restarting you have 'standard vga adaptor'. If not, delete the vid card that's there are redetect. Hopefully you get 'standard vga adaptor' this time, and you can then go and install the drivers :-)

Good luck.

In Aliens V Predator you got pretty much 100% Scaling... twice the frames.

In Warhead about 40%

In 3D Vantage about 33%

And Crysis only 5 more fps from 37 so 13%

Read many places that they improved the engine in Warhead from Crysis to make it less CPU and Memory intensive.

From your Aliens results seems your setup and drivers are working fine... just the scaling goes down and down with more CPU and Memory intense programs/games...

So seems to be definitely throttled by CPU/Memory...

My Phenom is 3.3 Stock but I got it overclocked to 4.1 whith a +.15v on the Vcore along with added volts on the CPU making a total of 1.55v.

Thats pretty much the high end voltage for a phenom but I never get high temps so Im cool with it.

Try overclocking your cpu as much as poss... then re-running the crysis or vantage bench and if get noticeable increase in FPS you will know for sure its the phenom throttling the results as if the 5870's were maxed out OCing the CPU wouldn't make a difference. Although not as good as scaling as the 68's and 69's should scale way better than 40%!

Problem is there not at all

Ah Come on BigBruiserAl!! :(

Heaven 2.1 benchies show that a 6970/gtx 570 are near to CF 5870's but thats because the tessellation works far better on the newer cards.

If you look at many gaming reviews of the 6970/gtx 570 and compare them to a 5970 (nearest card to 5870CF speeds) they are still slower in the majority :)
