Anyone else find that when you switch between vanilla BC2 and Vietnam, your classes are mucked up and you have to choose everything again. Okay it only takes a few seconds of clicking, but sometimes I forget and start with a crap gun and no extras until my first death.

Yup I sometimes forget, BUT you can also pick up other weapons from downed infantry and inherit their kit. :)

The game and the stats seem to be all over the place with the release of Vietnam. Sometimes it just doesn't update and I also get the same issues with the weapons as mentioned. I think it must be a high demand thing that will go over time.

Yeah Cod does remove your ability to not spray with your lazer gun.

Yep, stats are badly screwed up at the minute, im only at level 19, but theese days im more often at level one, i know im bad, but not that bad.:D

Is there any way to turn off the right click to zoom thing? Basically want it like CoD so when I HOLD right lock it zooms instead of clicking it once and it staying there.

Game's still a POS btw.
 
Wow, first time on the Sas Beer Drinkers server last night as I've seen it mentioned on here a few times. Played a few rounds, and iirc I was doing really well in my last round before having to leave mid game. Just tried joining again tonight and it appears I've been banned from the server for 'hacking'. Great :rolleyes:

Cheaters really do ruin it for everyone, mainly because of all the whining that goes on about cheating, and the blanket rules enforced to try and stop any potential cheaters.
 
Yea, haxusations fly around all over the place, but I think I've only been in a couple of games with actual cheaters.

We've been called cheaters several times for clearly winning SQDM games with only 40mm Smoke and knives, some people just can't accept that you've learnt to play the game well, or learnt to shoot accurately.

It's a shame that SAS seems to operate a 'play well, get banned' policy

FWIW, CoD by default has toggle ON, not off.

You can turn it off in BC2 in the settings. In gameplay settings, untick toggle zoom.
 
Grabbed my first plat for vietnam today, one more to add to the pile :).

After playing it for a decent amount of time ,I really like phu bai valley, I hope when hastings comes out, it's an open map like that. Starting to like hill 137 as well, now I've worked out how to access the tunnel in the hill from the nva side, it's a lot easier to break out. Can catch the us out as well, as people don't expect the nva to be coming through the tunnel.

Not sure why so much in vantage point is out of bounds though, would make it a much better map if you could go a bit further out. So much room to flank around B, but it's all out of bounds :(.
 
just had a few epic hours on the SAS server and my M80.. made a video and everything. (im so cool)


anyway, i was unable to chat throughout my game on the SAS server, i entered my text, press enter, the text would disappear but it would not show up so as everyone else could read it...

Its been like that for me on lots of servers since vietnam was released. Id assume its down to server load as opposed to you being muted :)
