Anyone not use a credit card ?

i have a credit card and use it quite infrequently.

only once ran it up to maximum but that was while i was working but had no available funds in my current-account. as soon as i got paid i paid it off in full :)

Just use debit cards here.
the same goes for petrol stations which are notorious for cloning.

The only card I use for fuel is my company fuel card, which is for a vehicle that i don't own....

when filling my car, I always pay cash.

Haven't got one either but I may get one in the near future to increase my credit rating for when I may need it.

No, I have had 3, since I was around 18. I have been better off by ~£350 purely over the last 3 years by having credit cards - cashback, discounts and loyalty vouchers.

I've also claimed successfully for warranty when a retailer went bust.

OP, if you had a cashback cc and spent those £10k or whatever on camera gear, you'd be making a tidy profit. Not to mention extra purchase protection. ;)

I'm a student and use a credit card purely for online transcations, I just feel like I have more security that way. Set up to pay in full at the end of every month and I've never messed it up.

My credit rating should be pretty healthy.

I have two - one for personal stuff, one for business expenses. Neither one gets much use, and when they do get used, it's always paid off almost immediately. They only get used for the protection or the convenience, never for credit.

I have a credit card but i don't use it for credit. It gets pay it off in full at the end of the month if used which isn't often.

Had one, also had a job that paid very well for a while. Had a pretty stupid limit on it and in a moment of madness bought a car on it. Lost the job. Spent years paying back debt.

Now I purely use a debit card. If I want something I save till I can afford it and don't have sleepless nights worrying about debt.

I use the CC for everything and every month it gets paid off. This months statement came in at £2966.62 :( admittedly that included the wifes car insurance, all the xmas food and gifts, all my gifts to her etc etc.

Its all stuff I was going to buy anyway, costs me nothing and I get the tesco points. No downside as long as you don't get silly.

I used to have exactly the same setup but I cancelled the company card so I could get more loyalty points on my own card instead.

I use two and the balances are paid off each month. I use a debit card occasionally. Life would be such a pain without them.

Me and the wife have only ever had debit cards because we only pay with what we've got.
I've seen so many people in debt over the years that we won't allow a credit card in the house.

ive managed 24 years with just using debit card. but going to new york last week with travel cards was a problem in some shops with them not being accepted. mainly apple ( shakes fist).

i did end up getting one a few months ago 2 days before the tv broke :p so got a new one on that.

mine and fiancées plan now is to pay them off, have 1 each and make all purchase on them and pay off full at end of month like others have said in here to build up credit then we can use them abroad too. hopefully find a card with some nice bonus air miles or what ever too.

right now i only have £1000 credit because i only had it a few months.
