Losing faith in public

TBH it doesn't really matter which particular supermarket you go to. At this time of year, people will be just as uniformly ignorant, arrogant and disrespectful in all of them.

I did remark in Asda yesterday though that it seemed as though every single shopper had chosen the evening to determine just what the most effective method of blocking aisles is.

Yes it's true. I held the door open yesterday for a group of people, must have been 6/7 that walked through. One said thankyou, absolutley bizzare!

Edit - Should have docked the faces of the people that did'nt say anything. Lingered until each one was leaving, then facepalmed them with the door on the way out! That'll teach ya you di*k!

I don't really need anything from the shops, but reading this thread has made me want to go to my nearest supermarket, pick up some mince pies or a turkey, and then run around holding it high and shouting "yeeeeeessss I got the last one!!!". :)

HA, I'm 24.. and I think your right, im becoming less festive each year!

I'd make them do taffy slug because doing that for even a little time is much more a victory than being ignorant and refusing to help a ridiculous situation by simply moving a trolly out the way abit.

I'm 24 aswell and i've found the worst people are like really old. Must be conundrum in it all, get older get grumpier and ruder!!

Its the other way around for me! Younger people are arrogant as hell towards me, more so if they work in retail on the tills. Used to care too much but now I just dont take any notice unless somebody trys to mug me over then I turn into mr a-hole lol. It isnt all bad just a few more than usual this year which im going to blame the goverment for with all thats coming next year.

I like to move people's trolleys for them if they're in the way. You get a funny look for it, but I honestly couldn't give a ****, and it often solves my problem without having to talk to the cretin who left it in the way.

I guess it's a little different this year as so many people have been let down by supermarket online orders.
Still... There's no excuse for the behaviour of some people. It might be stressful, but if you stop acting like ignorant ***** then you'll be able to work it out.

My number 1 hate at the moment is women who stand in aisles/doorways to have a yap. Ask them to move and you get a stare like you've done something terrible to offend them.
It's the only thing that's caused me to use inappropriate language during the Christmas shop this year.

Just been to the shops and I give up!

Is it just me or people getting ruder by the year? asda was full of the most ignorant people I've come across,

At one end of the aisle there was pretty much a trolly pile up and the one "women" that could help the situation by simply moving out the f* way basically refused to move.... I bet that counts as a victory in her life.

I was in and out within 15mins, end of. :)

Just wanted to make most of them do taffy slug along the floor, that would turn their faces around.

Rant over, I've been locked away with boys for 11weeks so I've come out to the world where christmas is suddenly upon me and I havent had the time to get used to the shops getting gradually busier.

I just want to eat and drink on christmas now and get it done with

You're a squaddie now mate, get used to detesting 1 UK Civ Div :p.

Nope it's not just you. I had the same thing in Tesco's today, full of miserable, no-mannered bad tempered cretins. people's attitudes stink and while some of it might be down to the "season of goodwill" i can't help but wonder if they are all just a***holes anyway and this is their venting system.

Be glad to get this xmas shizzle out of the way.
