I know this a youtube vid but it's worth a thread of its own. How the hell can the SS/Police just come in and take a child who seems perfectly happy with his father away. It's criminal. Make this video go viral and expose the social services for the scum they are.

blogs on vids on this playlist. i thought if i could show them what me and my son were about they would leave us be. we both like photography computers and making vids.my sons had massive problems with been bullied at school and in the street and this go's back years. his own mother sided with services after she tried for full cusdody but when it became obvious she had no chance she sided with them out of spite.

i've reported this to ipcc already. i have made police statement. they tried to get me to except a 'caution' but obviously i said no.
all these people have one thing in common, they will all tell complete lie's and repeat untruths and this 'here-say' ends up being what is used in court against you.

Link removed.

half a story, still its very harsh and a bit harrowing.

Also i keep reading SS as the Nazi ones, which made me giggle.

Hard to say without knowing the full story, the kid seems happy with the dad and it wouldn't supprise me if his mother has been lying but thats why we have an appeals process etc.

Sometimes they are wrong but I bet they are more often right and save a lot of kids getting abused.

I really doubt the government has some fetish for taking kids away. But I am sure you have a video on youtube that shows they do. ;)

Give us the full story?

Don't just drip feed us information that supports your point of view.

Where does the line get drawn? How many cases have there been recently of child abuse which has gone unnoticed?

They have have a cause for concern and we don't know all the facts... just this youtube video.

They are acting in the child's best interest and welfare. If all the allegations of the father prove to be false then this is a bad memory for the child.

Unlike what could happen to the child if the authorities ignore the warning signs.

So they should just leave kids in the care of potentially abusive parents just because they say no?

There's a cause for concern, whether it's true or not and they have to act upon it.

I really doubt the government has some fetish for taking kids away.

Well sometimes it could be the case that they would go after someone who won't put up much of a fight instead of the harder cases to make a statement that they are doing something to prevent child abuse.

That video shows nothing though. I've seen myself what good SS can do :)

half story, SS only take away kids as the last option, there is so much more to this story than meets the eye

Totally agree, half story Daily Mail sensationalesque reporting. The Social Services aren't scum, it's not criminal, but to leave a child no matter how happy he seemed in a situation where there could be safety issues would have been. Seems like a good job done all round. :)

Comes across that they've basically attacked the father because they weren't happy with him recording the situation. Thats the shocking moment for me, as up until that point they seemed resonable, just doing their jobs. Its a shame that the camera didn't get a view of the situation, leaving it open to interpretation, but the police shouldn't be allowed to use physical force on a person (the father) without a valid reason.

Maybe I missed something though.

Mixed feelings from me: Police caught in a hard place as they have to enforce the court order but what appears to be an assault by the police for filming is totally wrong.

Social Services have applied for the order for a reason that we are not told but the lad seems perfectly happy and safe with his dad and all the crap speculation in this thread about him being a paedo' is beyond belief.

Need more info.

I have never liked social services they are generally a bunch of scum bags at least in somerset part. Aunt and Uncle had massive problems with them for a long time.

seems perfectly reasonable to me, court has decided he is a possible danger to his son for whatever reason. The child is under 18 so his request to stay means nothing.

They carried out the order professionally and using the minimum of force required.

The only problem i see is them not allowing him to film the whole thing.

i think in that situation coppers won't give you any chances, you either behave or they'll be on you. he started swearing which i guess is interpreted as vocal aggression so down he went and everyone walks away with the least injuries, suprised there were'nt more coppers really.
