Royal Mail Delays?

Have been waiting for a few parcel, all presents ordered over two weeks ago. Nothing.

Same here. Mine was despatched Friday last week by RM 1st class and it arrived today.

Surely this backlog should have been cleared by now?

I've now been waiting two weeks since despatch for some blu-rays ordered from Play. A screener DVD that was mailed in mid-December by a PR firm to me also still hasn't shown.

I reckon the idiot postman has delivered them to the same house number on the next street. Pity they're council housed scumbags with the social skills of a gnat.

turns out my package i was waiting for from RM from a popular auction site seems to never of been posted, apparently sent dec 18th, opened a case, should get a refund my 8th, turns out it was a scam

I am convinced I am being targeted/extremely unlucky or the stealing in our sorting office is so prolific it seems that way. I have never had a single problem with post been damaged or not delivered until I moved to London. I have received around 10 pieces of post since moving to Lee (not including bank statements) and almost half have been tampered or undelivered:

Birthday card from my grandmother (put in a clear bag and RM said it was damaged....it was clearly opened to check for money etc)

Parcel of presents ordered from the internet - huge hole in box, one present missing and another broken

Several Birthday cards which I know have been sent - not delivered (my Birthday is in November)

Box of nice clothes (Christmas present) - not delivered

A Christmas card, again I which I know was sent, was not delivered

Unfortunately the clothes were sent by normal first class

. This could all be a coincidence but I find it hard to believe. I am guessing there isn't anything I can do other than find my sorting office and complain?

I am having problems with royal mail being slow at the moment. Have customers waiting for items that were sent beginning of last week by first class recorded. Just states on RM website "in process" or words similar :rolleyes

Ditto. I'm waiting for half a dozen things - both ways. Shame.

Waiting for a second hand recorded delivery letter to reach the destination - posted on 24th Dec. It shows as still being processed atm.

RM are I think still having problems in some areas (with the effects being felt all over), I received the current issue or Radio Times (8th-14th) Tuesday (12th), with the new one arriving yesterday.
Likewise I received an order from Games Workshop posted Tuesday yesterday, whilst an order from another retailer posted yesterday that should have arrived today hasn't.

I also had an order posted on the 23rd of December from the States arrive today...

Apparently they've still got senior managers working overtime actually delivering in some areas.

Sent a parcel to the USA on the 17th of December... was supposed to be 5-8 working days and it still hasn't arrived. On the 18th/19th though, a lot of snow did arrive at Heathrow and Heathrow was closed for a few days so I'm wondering how big of an international backlog there was.

yep no parcels for me yet either. It's more annoying that the bills find their way in but the 'important' stuff doesn't!

Ooh I just realised that I ordered a mouse pad from OCUK yesterday and despatch confirmation yesterday, so lets see how long it will take (its supposedly first class).

I am waiting on loads arriving in the US from the first week in December. Some are international signed for and haven't even been entered in the tracking system. I heard loads of Airmail has been sent by sea.

Plus I spoke to my mate who works for RM and he said everything is a shambles. There are still backlogs and Christmas cards coming through.

uncharted 1 and 2 posted about thursday sent first could have been here okay..

and farcry 2 that was send on monday and its not here umm ... alright.....???
