dont know if its any use to you all, but a big email just went out that has landed in a few of my friends inboxes as well as my own

says you can have a steam xmas gift
links look legit and everything

gives links to free copies of blackops, MOH, counterstrike etc.

dont click the links.

merry christmas

:)

I don't even click on legit such emails from Steam or really anyone, as I'll only read the title and if it sounds good just go straight to the relevant known site to see what's up. Thanks anyway, as I'm sure this'll save some people.

Merry Xmas :)

you just want all the free games to yourself

i for one will be clicking those links hard

Thanks for the heads up, I personally wouldent click the links but I will remind my son not to. At 9 and being xmas it's the sort of thing he would do.

no worries, hope it saves a few people.

i personally like my steam account and would be raher annoyed if it got hacked into

rjkoneill I think you should also update the thread to include the 'EA Christmas Gift' email which every one has been getting lately and as discussed in the 'EA 50% discount' thread. For me the email address included the following:
[email protected]

Clearly this is too long, abstract and random.

i got a similar email from EA this morning

looks legit but didnt click it as i cant be bothered to click things like that anyway
