Personally, im going to try and stick with one lens, buy all the filters for it and just get out there and get shooting. I need to build up my flickr portfolio and make sure I only upload my best work, I need to focus on letting my work be crit'd without taking offense aswell.

Looked through all of my images from last year and theres 2 I like, and neither of them are dramatic enough for anyone else to like.

I also need some kind of flash setup but still not sure where to go with this.

And I want to get a car-rig to get some automotive experience :)

Thats mine, whats yours ?

Just a few.

- Get better with off-camera flash.
- Expand my portfolio.
- Shoot a lot more (which should be helped by doing a Project-52.)
- As weird as it sounds, come out of full manual and use Av mode more, as much as I like the control, I need to trust my camera more so I can focus more on composition and creating ideas than messing about with settings.

Am hoping this will make my work stand out and become less like generic snaps, although we all know how things go when you've planned them out :p.

Get a proper portfolio site running
Get a new camera/lens
Do more photography/filming
Try and get some paid/free work

Edit: Quick question, are people building their own websites or using sites like zenfolio to do theirs? No idea how to build a website

Mine is to kill everyone that works at City-Link if they don't turn up with my 70-200 F4L that's vanished within their system.

More realistic ones will be:

Save for an 5DmkII (probably mkIII by the time I save enough!). I may actually upgrade to the 60D first, after I have a nose at the comparisons between the noise levels/handling between the 30D & 60D.
Buy a flash and learn to use it!
Take at least one semi decent photo a week, no matter what. Spending £1k on camera stuff over Christmas has helped this stick in my mind!
Spend more time understanding the more complex side of photography to try and reduce the stupid exposure mistakes I've been making recently.

Sell the 5Dii and get the 5Diii when/if it arrives.

Mess about with HDR more.

Buy a flash and learn how to use it.

Get an UWA lens.

Get a long telephoto and learn how to use it.

I want to make more time for photography, and to actually get out and visit more places. I've still got a long list of stuff I want to try as well. Hopefully I will pick up a cheap background for doing better portrait stuff. It's quite likely the 7D may get traded at some point, or a 5D classic obtained...

Don't believe the OP either; last week he was after all primes. :P

- Mine are to upgrade to a D90, buy an UWA and maybe another walkabout lens.
- Maintain quantity as per this year; maybe even reduce but improve quality.
- Learn more about processing.
- Get more published/picked to appear somewhere, and at least get paid for one of them (I've been nice and just let websites/mags/work have the ones they want for free and just a credit this year).
- Visit and photograph 2 new places abroad. Potentially Dubai and Cyprus in the pipeline, New York if I find someone who wants to go there with me. /Forever alone...

I'd like to photograph at least 1 wedding, but just being a guest or doing a friend a favour as a second shooter or something, just for practice. So not really a resolution.
