I have a pair of the Ultra Mags. One of the bodies fell off. The return took waaay too long and I got a rubbish repair job. I ended up taking them apart and fixing them myself. A couple of people on here have the Nano's. Apart from the allen key fittings being shody quality they seem to be lasting. Superstar products are cheap for a reason.

I have a race tomorrow - The Merida Brass Monkeys Round 2

I'm really not feeling fit after 3 days of boozing it and too many chocolate etc. :(

Still, Nice to try out my new Racing Ralphs and C*NT bar/ Hope stem.

I'm using Superstar pads. Quite squealy but no problems. Lots of people use them no problems, there was lots of reports of the braking material falling off the backing, but most were about the same time, so it looks like it was a dodgy batch.

Much of Superstars stuff is exactly the same as other brands, they just import it direct from Asia.

really? i heard they were good.

edit: i had a look at some reviews and they fall apart in the wet.

also would you buy their flat pedals i'm thinking of buying some

ive got the nano tech flats and they are holding up to the abuse so far :D very grippy!!! just be sure not to hit yer shin bone on them

I have nano tech flats which are working perfectly :p and currently have kevlar pads which again have been pretty hard wearing with no problems, for the price I would buy them again ;)

Brass Monkeys rnd2 - 20th place out of 90. Pretty cuffed. Although front derailier playing up again so could not get 18th.
Praying that its not the same issue as before. Still, happy as not been training due to Xmas.

I see Evans have dropped the Hardrock 2011 from £339 to £305.... Bit ****ed TBH as I only bought it 6 weeks ago then they go and drop the price almost immediately :(

It seems a lot of places are offering 10% off 2011 bikes until early January.

Thanks for your post - it got me searching. I'm about to buy a 2011 road bike and have just found it for £185 off (20%) - sweet :)

I might need to change the bearings in my Hope hub:

:p

Fine? Are you starting new years celebrations early? Apart from the fact that the "sealed" bearing cover fell off, it's full of mud and doesn't turn, yeah it's....fine.

Edit...in other news...

Just put down a deposit on one of these:
