No doubt with tons of people shouting "tank noob". I really hate how people moan about others using tanks and the various weapons. It's really not that hard to take out anyone if you play with even a tiny amount of strategy/skill.

Well played on the tank kills. Obviously this isn't a moan aimed at you :)

Well played and tank kills do not belong in the same sentence TBH, just my personal view... tanks are noobish, period. They are part of the game on servers which don't ban them, I accept that much. Doesn't stop them being noobish though.

You're really going to hate bf3 then. COD might be more up your street.

I disagree, in my opinion tanks are so easy to take out with just the slightest forethought (land mines) or basic squad tactics and a heathly amount of c4 or RPGs.

Prime example is Laguna Presa, scatter a few land mines around the tank in the water, wait for someone to get in it, 2 seconds later....boom. 2 or 3 dead. You'd think they'd learn but I can do this a number of times on this map alone.

Another example is Arica Harbour as defenders on the first checkpoint, our squad of 3 engies and an assault go up high on a hill, dart the incoming tanks and all launch RPGs at the very same time = one dead tank and an annoyed opposition.

You get in it yourself and go on a rampage - whos the noob?

Its very tough for an individual to take out a tank with a decent tank crew and supporting players but with your squad in chat/mumble and working together we simply regard them as metal coffins waiting for someone to put them 6 feet under.

I think in sqdm if you get killed by the same tank more than once you should probably go play something else :p.

once is understandable if you're a medic/40mm assault, but if you don't respawn as a c4 assault/rpg/at mine engine or c4 recon frankly you deserve to die.

Quite, even if we're doing a 'smoke' round :D one of us will spawn as C4 recon/assault and go take care of it before switching back to smoke grens for the 'omg hacker smoke kill noob noooooooooob' comments that make this game worth playing for the lols.

Meh, dieing to a decent tank driver is annoying but part of the game (except those bs moments where they manage to kill you in les than a second with the piece of **** machine gun from long range when you were on full health). Its when the tank drivers are sat in the spawn or just generally abusing 'out of bounds' locations that it gets lame. Port Valdez is a good example where you frequently get tanks sat almost in there spawn shelling things and you can't do jack about it.

Lol, i've not seen any of those comments yet :p On the topic of SQDM, that Heavy Metal map is really bad for it. Its just too damn small and after a couple of minutes all the fences are blown up and the buildings have huge holes in them. Goes from Squad Deathmatch to Squad Cluster****.

Dieing to a Tank, then respawning as a class that can't take it out and whining about dieing to it again, or the same thing regarding helicopters is just stupid. If you are trying to take it out but don't have enough backup then calling your team a bunch of freakin' noobs is fair and square though :D

If you keep getting killed by a tank and you do nothing about it then who's the real noob?

I've destroyed plenty of tanks when I happen to be on a server which allows them. (I try to stick to the no tank servers to play with like minded people.) Don't mistake dislike of something for not being able to cope with it.

Is it noobish to kill someone half way across the map in a tank? I thought it required decent aiming. Vehicles are just a way to get an edge over the enemy, and you have a gadget or a weapon to prevent that edge from happening.

heheh always funny on SQdm Defrags in the tank killing people in the chat the others going "omg tank noob" "lame " "NO TANK" etc.

Then later one of them gets in tank

and on mumble you hear

"tank's up"

...

"gone"

"yay triple kill \o/"

Ah..this sums up my experiences exactly too :p Highly amusing really.

Yeah.. agreed re the camping with a tank comments. Just jumping in the tank and driving around "rocking it up" is the thing that I have a problem with people having a problem with though.

Lol Evilsod just been banned for cheating from an SQDM sever after owning them for a few rounds, and I got banned too for "grosefresse" whatever that is.

Aiding and abeiting?

It was an overall very dodgy few rounds. The K*M guys or whatever the admins clan was, were fairly average to begin with. Then a couple of rounds later they suddenly improved drastically, almost always been found with an MG36 or MG3 and dropping us easily from all ranges.

Then the Harvest map where the admin suddenly went on a banning spree, fair enough the CCC clan guys deserved it, all they were doing was spamming gustavs and grenades and generally camping, but they were banning others randomly too.

Then after Arica which overall wasn't that impressive a game they suddenly banned me for cheating :p Apparently they'd got bored of our squad beating them every round.

And on topic i was being a great tank whore :D Couple of times it went wrong and i got C4d shortly after starting (V-elect is epic) but the Harvest level where i was in it for about 5-10 minutes was great.

Strange crash with Section 18 server!, i was playing and my sound went dead during the match. Then the server crashed and was not visible in the server listing, when it did come back i rejoined and my sound was muffled yet no players online.

Main menu was fine! :p, will try again

Bah!

80-90% of all players have absolutely no idea how to play this game.

They seem to think it's a large scale game of TDM and killing its the objective.

There is practically no team work and no understanding of very very basic tactics.

Almost no one spots, no one heals, no one revives, no one drops ammo, tank drivers drive off while you are trying to repair them, players drive off from the main base in a vehicle ON THEIR OWN, leaving others no option but to make it into battle on foot which gives the enemy a massive advantage. Players will constantly fight over one capture point while the enemy has the other 2 or 3 bases. Loads of player use the engineer class and never use their rockets on enemy vehicles. Players run off from the health packs you've just dropped for them without healing. Players will respawn on you in an area being attacked by the same tank that killed them, but not as an engineer with rockets or recon and C4.

I think there should be some kind basic training that locks the game online until you've past it.
