What's Your New Year's Resolution!?

Hopefully get fitter, i've never been someone to care about muscle but i really want to be fitter in an overall sense as im a lazy **** at the moment. I've not smoked in 3 weeks so that's good, and before that i hadn't smoked in about a month.

I've narrowed smoking down to something i only do when im drinking at parties now, if i can resist the temptation to smoke when im drinking next time (no doubt new years) i'll be sorted!

To get to 21st Jan passing out parade and cry, I want to shed some tears on the square and I've told everyone I will be the cryer in this intake! :)

I want to be all I can be in 2011, this really is a new start and a fresh new year in my life, so want to have an awesome year, can't wait till the summer, hopefully can get a holiday in or maybe a festival, a car and to become super fit

1. Lose some weight, ideally go from 12.8st to 11.5st
2. Start saving money instead of throwing it up the wall every month
3. Finish my web design training and get a job in that field
4. Move out with the girlfriend

Improve my fitness, drop some weight and take at least one photograph every day (no matter how random)

Regards Simon

My New years resolution as usual will be to try and give up smoking...not that i have in the past 15 odd yrs ive been saying i will do it :p

But the most serious NY resolution is to make my fiancee an honest woman...definitely looking to marry her by end of the yr but want to do it quicker as i want to start having babies:p:D

I'm starting an Engineering Officer Cadetship on the 10th January at South Tyneside College, so my resolution will be to give it my all to give me the best possible shot at succeeding. Whilst there, since I'm not exactly going to be loaded, I'll aim to spend as much time as I can in the gym to get rid of some of this "festive timber" I've undoubtedly gained, and get myself as physically fit as I possibly can.

I gave up this year, it was easy... sort of.

I'd smoked for 20 years, and it was starting to affect me in a noticable way. I decided I needed to stop and I planned for it.

I decided I'd stop when I flew to Florida for a 2 week break - I'd have one before I got on the plane and not smoke ever again. It worked a treat for me. Partly because in Florida I'm away from all the usual triggers which would make me reach for a fag, and partly because if I was to smoke after I came back I'd be throwing away a holiday that was greatly overshadowed by stopping smoking.

I took Champix (doctor referred me to a stop smoking class, they referred me back etc). It either worked or the placebo effect worked. It gave me very vivid dreams and as I said made the holiday far less pleasant than it should be.

7 months later I'm still not smoking and I've decided that even one draw on a fag would likely be enough to tip me over the edge and I'm not going to.

Everybody I know who has failed to give up has done the same thing - just having one, or kidding themselves on they only smoke when drinking etc, doesn't work.
