New Year's Eve

I have a plentiful supply of alcohol, some blu rays and my girlfriend. Cant be arsed with the hassle of going out, and the usual house party option seems to have disappeared over the last couple of years, so its a quietish one for me.

Pretty much exactly the same as mr Bennie-Mac for me. cba with town, nobody there actually cares its a special occasion (because its not really), its just overly packed, expensive, too much aggro noobs, freezing and is just too much hassle. Staying in with the girlfriend, maybe having a couple people over with some drink, food and films. Ofcourse the obligatory 5 second cheer at midnight will still occur.

Got over my Flu now so I really have no excuse not to go to a mates house where I will be subjected to weed and fag smoke all evening.
I can't even drink heavily as I'm viewing a vehicle on the Saturday.
Not only that, but if he goes off on one about immigrants and dole scroungers for the third time I've seen him in as many months, I'll be thinking twice about carrying on being mates.
I mean we all have our grievances in life but, christ, get off your bloody soap box, I know it's a **** state of affairs but neither you nor I can do anything about it, so shouting your mouth off so vehemently that your veins stick out isn't going to help.

and breathe

Would be going to a house party but decided not to due to chest infection, if im around loads of cigarette smoke and alcohol i'll only want to join in making it worse :(

We're going to a local bar in manchester called mojos (hi to any stalkers). Free entry, drinks will be more than normal but it doesn't fleece you too much. Music isn't always amazing but i'll be there with friends so it wont matter much. Hope you all enjoy your new years.

Split with the Mrs of 5 years today, going to curry night without her tomorrow night. Putting extra chillis in curry to cheer myself up.

Heading up to a uni friend's party at his family's hotel with the gf and some uni friends. Open bar, buffet food, free room. Sounds like a plan!

Staying in this year, looking forward to it. Kebab with the other half, house to ourselves, it'll be nice.

There's loads of good ways to spend NYE, done clubbing, fireworks on embankment, local pubs, staying in... it's all good. I'm getting old now so staying in it is :D

Nothing, after my original plans fell through.

Buying some new running shoes, changing some Euros and Dollars and then probably an early night.

I've had tonsilitis 2 NYE's in a row. Can't really get much worse than that haha.
Out with some friends at a fairly relaxed place, then back to a house party.
Then train to London, for a date New Years Day's evening with a lovely girl :)
