Nice, hope you get one that doesn't crack and everything lines up properly.

Aye. And I hope you don't get hit by a bus. :p I cracked my first Santacruz. **** happens. If the QC isn't up to scratch I'll send it back.

Nice one Scott, what colour? Surely not yellow?!

I ordered the Works raw. It will match my wheels. :D . If they don't have it in the first batch then i'll take any other colour as long as it's black.

Just had a quick 10 mile run out today along some really narrow back roads, in and around the village and surrounding countryside... Blatting down a wet hill with patches of mud etc at 20-25MPH wondering if you are indeed going to be able to make that turn or end up in a pile of metal and bones... No feeling like it :D

Nice start to the New Year.... Great fun :D

Spotted a couple of possible off road trails I never knew existed... Will try them another time when I get a chance

I'm liking this old cycling malarkey more and more :D

Fine? Are you starting new years celebrations early? Apart from the fact that the "sealed" bearing cover fell off, it's full of mud and doesn't turn, yeah it's....fine.

Edit...in other news...

Just put down a deposit on one of these:

I owe you a pint or 2 for the deal I got on it. In fact I even drank them for you last night. :p

I ordered an Angleset for it as well. Who knows when they will turn up in the UK though.

Currently sits at 22.5lb/10.2kg, but there's still changes to be made, new XTR pedals are in the xmas post somewhere, cut the steerer, work on the fit, possible change in bars and to a layback post. It's also likely to gain front suspension after the winter.

I did the 50km Winter Challenge today crossing Salisbury Plains.
My overall was time 2hrs 36 mins plus 17 minutes stationary fixing a puncture - grrrr

Details here - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/61607599

It's a very well organised event and a great start to the new year :)

Glad to hear it mate, I was stuck in a car for 7 hours coming down from Edinburgh. Two mates were marshalling the course and said it was a success. 700 riders in total.
Glad you enjoyed it.
