Nah - they don't like playing second fiddle generally.
However if you can offer a good loving home to a rescue cat then it might still be worth a thought.

If they don't know what they are missing I don't think they care.
I've got a house cat and he is absoultely petrified of outside. I've tried taking him outside to play but as soon as the door is opened with him in my arms he absoultely freaks out.

My GF and I have two 1yr old house cats as per laser video earlier in the thread, we've had them since kittens, and surprisingly, when we let them out for a garden play, if they hear anything that spooks them, they run inside to us.
They seem happy and are always playing, will sit on your lap or bite your toes, whatever takes their fancy!

My ginger tom, Charlie, has been wonderful for the last 15 years. He is on his last legs now and I think it may be time for him to go to Heaven. Not quite yet.

You will have to get another Can't wait to get one. Sorting out where he / she will be sleeping etc I wanted to do this with any cat we get but angie says it's dirty

How does you cat find living inside? As I want a few tips
Not much to say.
My kitten/cat (he's about 6 months, not sure what that makes him) seems content with exploring our flat. He's always in cupboards, hiding under beds and that sort of thing.
I've had a few issues with mine (doesn't like to be touched and is a bit bitey) but he seems to have calmed down a lot lately. I'm not sure if that's because I've been home over the last few weeks (I think he considers me to be his master/mother/friend) but he is a lot nicer to be around now!
Just buy yours a few toys, try and play with he/her as much as you possibly can and I think it'll be fine. I'm not expert though.
But it certainly is worth it. It's the little things like them cuddling up with you on cold nights that just makes you smile, and I'm far from a pet person
.Please don't keep your cat inside, get a cat flap and they will go out in there own time. We got ours and kept him inside for about 3 weeks so he would get used to us and made sure he was using his litter tray. When we went to let him out he would just run back in, which is fine they like to feel safe, but this does not mean you shouldn't encourage them to explore/play outside. We got a cat flap and after a few months he started going outside for longer /further away. Now he is a totally normal cat, has his own area he defends outside and is always in the house playing, eating (our food or the food he brings in alive or not) and sleeping. Keeping them inside is just cruel imo. I could keep a child locked up in a box there whole life, just because they dont know what is beyond that box dont stop the cruelty.
In the few month he was inside only we trained him to use the toilet. Once he started going outside he is much happier just doing it outside.

Once he was outside he could start some real hunting (for dogs!) dont know how he was planning of getting it back through the cat flap:
And while im at it one he did get through the cat flap but kept alive to play with round the house:

One tip from me is not to try too hard.
My little brother is all hands with ours. Picking him up, chasing him about, all that stuff. He does it with a good heart but the cat doesn't seem to like it, while on the other hand I rarely make a fuss over him but yet the cat loves spending time around (and often ON) me.

.I know what everyone is saying about not keeping the Cat inside all the time but I'd rather keep it inside than have it hit by a car :/

Cats are clever little things they dont just get killed as soon as they see a road. Your fear for it shouldn't effect its right to freedom. Btw I am far from an animal activist, but cats are natural born outdoor hunters and there is no reason for us to confine them as they are more then loyal and can enjoy there life to the full with minimal input from us, while still getting back the same levels of affection (and more when they bring you back presents).
I will take it outside and it will see that I'm with it and it 'should' work
Don't you need a wooden door for a cat flap or?
