Latter Q of this year has been interesting with my life turning upside down. Getting stick for being ripped off for buying a 8 y.o. Focus :p

But one thing owning an old car that has little value has taught me is that I love the fact I can leave it anywhere and not care about dings etc that previously plagued owning a nice car as I was completely OCD about leaving my P&J anywhere so much so I think unless my fortunes change and become rich like Spie will prob buy A-B's albeit at a less inflated price (hopefully hehe :p)

I could do with more power as I live in the sticks and my commute can be arduous being stuck being people on NSL. It still beats the commute via train I used to do when I worked in London!

So my plans 2011, well since someone vandalised my car :( so unless I move somewhere I can leave my car in sight I will continue to run my trusty Focus 1.6 into the ground. It's been mostly good so far, albeit the water pump went and had the dreaded pollen filter leak that I sorted.

So what are your plans, who's planning on changing their car in 2011?

Plan to change the BM for something else. Possibly a focus estate, not sure yet.

Another year of epically cheap motoring in the Seicento beckons, along with plenty of work on Project Bentley. First bit of maintenance on the 'cento to get it to survive another year actually started this morning - drained, flushed and refilled the cooling system as I realised the other day that it hadn't been done in four years (oops). Oil, filters and spark plugs are on the list for March.

As for the Bentley - battery needs charging before we do anything else to it, then some work on the rear bumper that we've been putting off, got to re-align one of the cabin vents as it isn't quite in the proper place, window rubbers need replacing, hoping to get some fresh paint on it this year as well, wheels could use a refurb, whitewalls on the tyres need either tidying up or removing altogether, engine setup on the fuel injection seems to wander in and out of adjustment at random so need to investigate that, one of the rear seatbelts needs attention, and it'd be nice if I could get some better wiper blades for it.

So not much to do at all, really.

Will be chopping in both of our cars this year. Baby arrives in March so looking at some sort of SUV - X5, Cayenne, Range Rover, 4007, Disco or similar. Space for mountain bikes will be nice too. May well also call it a day with superbikes and sell the RSV. Hardly used it last year and with impending fatherhood coming soon I'll use it even less in 2011. It's a lot of cash to have sat tied up in something that gets riden half a dozen times in the space of 8 ish months when the weather is reasonable enough to do so.

Might wash the Mondeo at some point ;)

Other than that just enjoying them both, maybe some cheap-ish mods for the '5, but I'm not really feeling disposed to spend a fortune on it anymore, for what will be relatively small gains compared with what I've achieved so far. Still waiting on the suspension to be re-manufactured so I can take it and have it all replaced (it's a bespoke kit, mine was from the first batch, it works fine, there's just a bit of a knocking noise).

Provided I can prise the keys to the E39 from my hands, I intend to replace it at some point.

I reckon you'd have no trouble selling it to someone on here, as well!

I need to replace the sills on both sides of the Manta, which I'm not looking forward to.

Get my finger out and put the new exhust manifold on the Golf, fit a Bogg Bros inlet manifold and finally get the thing on the rollers.

Current plans:-

Powdercoat the Scorpios suspension arms. Replace a ballooned radiator. find out why the heated windscreen/interior lights/heated heats don't work.
Sold the Lexus LS400 - that goes on Wednesday.
Drive the Westfield when it's sunny :-)
Continue building the Cobra - it would be nice if the LS7 engine I ordered ever arrives from America!

Ooh, bike carbs or TB's? I have bike TB's on the Pinto in my Westfield with a Megasquirt ECU.

To get my car undersealed, full service with every single fluid changed and a wortec cat back exhaust with headers.

Sticking with my Clio 182 this year as I've only had it 9 months. Getting some new wheels On it this week and will probably get some coilovers soon as well. Other than that I'll just be trying to keep it running!

To do more track days and trips abroad such as the Ring, Spa, etc :D
New rear discs and maybe an interior re-trim is on the cards.

Neil.

R1 carbs, it's already up and running nicely on them on an inlet manifold I knocked up in work, but it's not the best manifold as far as flow goes and it doesn't quite hold the carbs at the correct angle.

To make the car look nicer :)

Chopped in my expensive PCP Golf Mk V (shut up haters :p) and bought myself a £4k Mondeo Zetec-S TDCi.

Some minor dings/light scratches and a hefty keying injury need some TLC. As soon as the weather gets bearable outside (i.e less snow :p) then I shall begin in earnest :)

I have to admit that I'm a little bit embarrassed by my car :(. The general pikeyness of it is starting to annoy me big time and it is time to do something about it.

I can either stick with the current plan of fixing it up as I go along, take it off the road and hit it in one big lump or completely cut my losses at renewal time and replace it with something else - An old XJ8 or possibly another Soarer, but a fully loaded V8 with the funky active suspension.

The replacement idea is leading the way at the moment, but we'll see :).

Probably have to get my first proper car, since I should be getting a job or something over the summer. :/

Something reliable with a good mileage, so I have started to save a bit to go towards a Nissan Leaf. :)

hopefully by the end of January ill say goodbye to my 1st car
have been offered a replacement car from a friend in the trade so hopefully all will go well
