2011 car plans....

I plan to keep the 335i for a good while so this year is all about the 88' Galant.

Its just been put into my mates garage for the Evo 7 shocks and whiteline ARB's (plus retuning and other bits). Plan is to continue working on it this year to the point that I've done everything mechanical with just the bodywork needing tidied up.

The body doesnt need much but I wouldnt mind learning a little.

This year I might look for a new car for the GF too. The little Polo I bagged 2 years ago has been great but I think I could scratch the car buying itch by getting here something a little nicer.

another little one on the way in May so finally time to replace the missus 10yrs old clio for something a bit bigger.

New Sportage is her current favourite - women eh?!!

Try and work out which coil pack (s) are duff on my e39, get it serviced in about 3k miles, and continue to hope it does not go bang in a big way!

I reckon you'd have no trouble selling it to someone on here, as well!

If he announced that was for sale on here, he's start a stampeed! :D

Fit the spoilerless bootlid I have in the garage thats rust free.
Fix the damn cat heatshield that was welded 4 times last year.
Source a tech3 wheels.
Get some oem mats.
New rear pads and sensor.

Enjoy it for another year.

Plan to change the BM for something else. Possibly a focus estate, not sure yet.

Thinking about changing my Focus estate (2005) for a BM or something. Problem is, I just can't do it. The Focus costs something like £85/year to tax, £450/year to insure, does 50mpg+ on a run, 35mpg around town even with my lead feet. Tyres are cheap, repairs are cheap, I could buy another one for buttons if I had to. At Christmas it took me, 3 LCD televisions in their boxes and tons of other presents to Eastbourne with room to spare, it regularly carries 4 Dell R610s in their boxes, it handles brilliantly (for an estate :p), will never get stolen, keyed or kicked and I treat it like crap and it still comes back for more. In December I drove it on fresh snow and sheet ice, past many a stranded BMW and Merc without even trying. Granted in the 10 months and 8,000 miles I've had it it has picked up a few rattles and squeaks but still...

Swapsies? :D

I plan to stick with my Camaro, which I think will be my last silly car. My work schedule might mean I will only need to drive it 18 miles a week so it can go back to being my daily car. It needs undersealed, and I might get some RWL tyres for it or throw on a set of el cheapos I've had sitting around, plus it needs a bit of tuning up and the carb issues sorted out but no big money.

See, sounds perfect to me! Yours a 1.6 or 2.0? I can see quite a few 2.0s which should be good enough for my needs

Fox,

I havent actually seen any pics of your car, care to post any?

My plans I intend to keep the Fiesta, its in its 2nd year of warranty so hopefully nothing goes wrong. if it does, not my issue.

Also feel the OP's pain about leaving a car and something happening to it touch wood nothing as of yet.

Maybe next year look at chopping in for something bigger, depending on circumstances ;)

It's a 1.6 diseasel (French engine, so I'm told). I'm rarely wanting for power. I wasn't looking for a diesel (or even a Focus) but I saw it for sale and it was an absolute steal so I couldn't really refuse.

My Saxo VTR: Probably staying as it is this year. If the exhaust/suspension/anything goes I'll replace it with an upgraded part (SuperSprint, Bilstein, etc.) but I don't plan on doing anything to it that doesn't need doing.
Then in September I turn 21 :D.... time to get a proper car!

Not related to my car, but me driving: Do some track days/airfield days/sprints in Dad's Westfield. Not sure if I'll be able to fit Spa/Nurburgring/Ascari/Zerez/Portemao in with Uni though :(, so probably UK only.
Also this year Dad's probably going to scratch his NSX itch or his R35 itch. Though I'm not sure that me in either of them would be a good idea...

I'll probably just keep the M3 for pottering around in, then pick up a F430 Scuderia, an F40, an LP700 and perhaps a Veyron. Also an FXX and and F1 car via the Clienti programme.

Well, that's the plan anyway...

I plan on enjoying my car this year. No mods planned, just simply booking a trackday at Bedford and maybe attending a few of the forum meets (;)).....and not getting silly and buying a different car. I would like to visit the Nurburg one day, but have a feeling it will be thought about and not done..

Just got my Truck so have no immediate plans for change but you never know with me, If i did change it would be for a Luxobarge Auto V6/V8 climate & everything as I am loving this way of getting around. Maybe a big **** off Lexus Gold or summit. :D

All going well, later this year I'm going to trade in my wifes Picasso for a reasonably specced S-Max, nothing too aspirational but if I'm going to drive a geriatric wagon I want it to be at least reliable.

My plans are to get my car repaired after skidding on black ice into a central reservation at about 50mph. It means I get the respray earlier than I was planning tho, so not all bad :)

as has been said, the Fiesta ST is leaving and i will eventually get a WRX-STI

just got to get the finances in order.
