Indiana Jones survived a small nuke by hiding in a fridge.

To be fair to Sidewinder it wasn't actually a direct hit, he was in a mock town a few miles away from the blast. Still the fridge would have been subject to heat of a few hundred degrees and the shock wave (from the blast and the stop) would have seriously damaged him. Luckily he already had a kid as he probably isn't going to be able to make another one...:p

As for worst film ever... Well it's a bit more realistic than the previous ones. Water that keeps you alive forever and ghosts that suck you up... Aliens seem far more likely than that TBH... :D

I actually remember reading an article by some science types on the authenticity of Indy's hiding before.

They actually seemed more concerned with how they depicted the mushroom cloud and the explosion, apparently it was wrong for the type of bomb they used.

Also that as it was a small yield bomb, detonated underground and not directly on the town, he had at least a slight chance... however, the second he steps out of it he is exposing himself to stupid levels of radiation... which is where it gets pretty silly.

The bomb was rather large, not small and was detonated about half a mile away from the town he was in. It's in the scene on the movie...

Iirc it was on a tower not underground, radation also is not a problem in the short term, most of it is ejected up into the atmosphere.

I know everyone seems to rate The Last Crusade, but Temple of Doom was my fave IMO.

Actually, your favourite was the original, in my opinion ;)

Have you seen them all recently? ToD was great as a kid, but annoying as an adult due to Indy's two sidekicks.

Dr. Jones, Dr. Jones, noooooo mooooooooooore pawachoots!

InnnnnnndiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
