i got CoD: Black Ops, a couple of days ago, installed, werent expecting to play, booted it up, went onto Kino Der Toten (zombies) the game was running @ 15 fps max and 4 fps min, now, i was expecting crashes, this was @ 800x600 lowest settings, only just playable, i just thought id share that ;)

EDIT: how Crysis has better performance i dont know ;), just treyarch just suck at optimization i guess :P

haha, yeah, its terrible i know, i LOST fps from overclocking it :P

im planning on a HD 5670 in the near future, or, the equivelant in the HD6*** series, but having a bad card amuses me coz i love to test games on it :P

@ Cleeecooo: umm, everyone seems to think so, it wud make sense, but its very badly made, i can tell ya that :P

You seriously bought Black Ops knowing full well you'd get ridiculously low fps making it unplayable? I'm sorry but that makes no sense whatsoever and is a complete waste of money

yeah, i knew it wudnt be playable, but like i said, im planning on a 5670 or equivalent soon, so that shud make it playable?
tbh, the way that games made it wudnt suprise me if it didnt play properly :L

Unfortunately, even if you upgrade the graphics card to something good, then your CPU will hold you back.

The CPU requirement for that game is at least a Core 2 Duo E6600, the Pentium D 930 is considerably slower than this. This chart shows how the faster Pentium Extreme Edition 955 compares to an E6550.

May I ask what motherboard you are using?

im using an ASUS P5K, i will upgrade my whole PC in time, im thinking of this:

Core 2 Q6600
4 GB RAM
Radeon HD 5670

when it comes to it, when i got the money to do so

Spend more cash on a semi decent card like a 5850 the differance is Night and Day and watch out for ATI and Nvidias silly numbering branding because it's simply going to confuse you, As per say a 5870 is faster then a 6870.

well, i need a decent budget card, im not looking at running in 1980x1080 as i only have a 19" 1280x1024 monitor, so a card with a 128-bit shud do me well?

im open to suggestions, ATi or NVIDIA :)

i was looking at a 9500 GT DDR3, then decided against it, yah i know, coz its crap :P

and that 5850 doesl ook interesting, what cards does it compare in performance to?

Seriously don't bother, your CPU is hopeless. I'm starting to struggle in games with a well clocked C2D.. Bin it all and start again.

Cheap i5 rig w/5850 will do the trick.

5850 trades blows with GTX460/470.

yah im thinkin on a Q6600, tbh i might just upgrade my mobo and get an i5, like u said, yeah, i shall look up 5850's, is there an MSi brand for it?

EDIT:
@Rroff: dont suprise me in the slightest, and the graphics suck too xD
WaW on console looks better than black ops on console xD
