Steam christmas sale 2010... *twitch*

By all accounts, they add bits of the story that should have been there in the first place... so you'll probably get a bit more playtime out of it.

how many hours extra does it give and how does the story add itself into the main game, is it 'a bit extra at the end' or separate to the main game?

weird it would ban a non existant account.

dont take offense but did you try before you buy and maybe the old serial is in the registry ?

Funny enough, this was kind of the problem, except the other serial in the registry was legit. I bought a copy of one of the expansions not realising it wasn't the original and it didn't like the serial for some reason.

Hi Guys,

Is FM2011 steamworks or not? Bit confused by some of the answers Ive had via Google so wanted to check...

Ta chrismscotland,

One more question - once the retail copy is activated does it work like a normal steamplay game? Want to make sure I can play it on my PC and my MBP too...

Yeah I found that first, when I went to check the whole steamplay aspect I was at a loss (wasnt sure if the retail activated just the PC component only), so naturally went to the SI forums which just confused the hell out of me (basically they just hate Steam it seems).

Excellent news - glad to see Steamplay is enabled, still trying the demo currently so didnt want to buy it and not love it...

FM games are Steamworks but I believe you can also just install it on the PC without registering it on Steam and just have to play with the DVD inside the drive.

Yeah thats why I wasnt sure if they meant you can add it like a non-Steam game rather than a Steamworks game - never heard of a Steamworks game that doesnt force you to use Steam...
