i7 950 temperatures

So ive got my i7 950 clocked to 3.8 ghz, was just wondering what were the safe operating temperatures to run.. Seen peaks of 75 deg when playing games...

Staying below 75/80c would be a sensible recommendation.

Standard cpu cooler. Auto voltage.

Manually set the voltages, and seriously think about getting an aftermarket cooler.

Get an aftermarket cooler. Stock coolers are no good for overclocking. Try setting the cpu voltage to 1.25 and if it's not stable in prime then try 1.275

It sets the voltage much higher than it needs to be. Unnecessary voltage will simply increase temperatures and possibly shorten the life of your cpu/motherboard

How do you find out the temperature your pc are running at?

Is there or can you get some kind of gadget that tells you this?
