Does anyone have this desk ?

That does look quite good, shall be keeping an eye on this.

It looks very similar to something my boss has at work, and that's as stable and as spacious as they come.

It says it "holds up to a 19" monitor", hahaha hmmmm:p

Yes it is a good desk, it replaced the Jerker which was also good.

Sorry to mention [H]ardForum again but they have an entire thread that is an "Ikea Desk Gallery" which features a lot of Fredriks.

I'll try and update with a decent picture of a Fredrik
Found some pictures from the thread linked above

I have it, the black version, and it's damn fine.

Shed's load of space and very strong, though I wouldn't sit on it tbh.

Mine has a 24" and a 22" monitor on it. Plus far too much other stuff (bit cluttered).

I have the version with the shelf on top. It's a strong desk, although as ElliorR has said, I wouldn't sit on it. It currently holds a 24" monitor and a 20" monitor, and previously had held the 20" monitor and my PC. For £89 it's a good buy. It's similar to the Jerker, just a bit smaller. My room has slightly too little room for a Jerker.

I think I'm going to have to reconfigure the shelves like bsoltan's. Amazingly, it's never occurred to me to put the monitor on the shelf :p

Excellent thread :D

My desk is way past its best, one of the legs is giving way and there is nothing that can be done to save it. I shall be getting an order in asap for one of these ikea jobs :)

I'm finding the galant series particularly interesting, as you could easily buy some of it now, adding to it later if you need to.

The Fredrik looks good, but does lack that capability.

Think i may order Fredriks with the shelfs, looks like it'd be a perfect replacement for my current desk.

i've got the middle bit of that desk. it's brilliant, huge as it is, but as you say chuck extra bits on when you need the extra space :)

Yup, its pretty standard, fairly big, matches my other black/brown furniture well and no I would not stand on it, at least, not the near side.

Another vote for Galant. I've got just the centre bit of Zefan's setup, but in a different colour, plus the mobile pedestal. I just wish the made a better selection of bits to go on the narrow return section: the choice is very short semicircle (pointless) or long extension (won't fit).

yea, my father has one of these in his office, massive legs space to stretch your legs.

Aye it's great for stretching the legs. My old desk had a couple of shelves underneath so I had to wrap my legs around the base of my chair. This was fine until I got cramp and couldn't untangle my legs.
