Hi, Newb here

This is my 1st build I have done, ive normally just bought PCs but I decided that I was being screwed over by the levels of spec available ECT so i bit the bullet and begun my build

Coolermaster Elite 430 Windowed Case – black
Asus P7P55D-E
Core i5-760 @ 3.6GHz
Thermaltake Frio CPU cooler
2x Coolermaster SickleFlow 120mm LED case Fan
OCZ MODXSTREAM 600w PSU
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1tb
G.Skill Ripjaw 4gb 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24

Still to come as its not yet finished

Samsung BH-123L Blue Ray ROM DVD RW
LG E2250 V Widescreen LED monitor
Sapphire or XFX AMD HD6950

Currently running a IDE dvd drive and an old nvidia GPU my mate had laying around

Maxing at 60 running prime but the fans are down a bit on the cooler to reduce noise, Thinking of a couple of noctuas to quieten it down a bit

Delighted with it so far! quite proud it being my 1st build, Got it up to 3.6 just using the inbuilt tuner on the board and i'm happy with it there, im not going to push it any further as i'm sure I wont need it, Had to manually do the RAM timings ECT cant wait to get paid at the end of January to get it finished off

Some pics from start to end :)

Thanks

Thanks Guys

You need to tidy up your cable before your GPU arrives otherwise its gonna be mess.

Ill sort that headache when it comes lol, Unfortunately the elite 430 does not really give good cable management facilities, maybe an antec 900/902 on the cards soon though

All finished now for a while ;)

Monitor i went for was an LG E2250v I'm very impressed with it
Went for a decent GPU too, got a HIS HD6950
Think an SSD woudnt go a miss :)

Thats a really good start m8,
much better than my first pc build.. cream plastic cases mmmm those were the days :D

Nice build :), Just a few small tips for you for future builds...

1- stick the cpu in the socket before mounting the motherboard in the case (will reduce the chances of bent pins).

2- mount the heatsink too before installing the motherboard in the case, again may save you snapping the motherboard or again bent pins on the CPU socket if you over tighten the heatsink because of lack of space or just can't see how well its mounted. Again also risk of damaging motherboard by dropping the tools used to fit the heatsink or slipping and scrapping the motherboard.

Enjoy your system looks great for a 1st build :). Just do some cable tidying ;)

Thanks, Will be trying to tidy up the cables soon, not much room in the case and no holes for cable management ECT. Should be fun, (looking to maybe upgrade to a coolermaster HAF 932 or HAF X at some point) should provide me with better cable management ;)

very nice, congratulations. i bet you're well chuffed.

word of warning tho, you'll be hooked now and always on the look out for that little extra you can add to your build ;)
